PepsiCo: A Behemoth Trading At A Decade-Low Valuation

Summary PepsiCo (PEP) owns some of the most recognized brands in the beverage and snack industries, with a portfolio of more than 30 billion-dollar brands. Despite its deep and unparalleled vertical integration, the core North American beverage business has underperformed and lost market share to Coca-Cola and Keurig Dr Pepper. In response to a difficult operating environment, PepsiCo is now trading at a TTM free cash flow yield of almost 5%, which is the highest in at least a decade. In turn, the current dividend yield of 4.3% is the highest since the early 1990s. After increasing its dividend for 54 consecutive years, PepsiCo is a dividend king. In line with my 'Buy' rating, I bought my first shares of PepsiCo on July 21st at an average price of $134.56. I stand ready to accumulate more shares in case the stock continues to drift lower.
