POET Technologies Secures $400 Million Financing and Names New COO Following 112% Revenue Rise POET Technologies reported Q2 2026 revenue up 112% year over year, completed a $400 million strategic financing to support manufacturing capacity expansion, and appointed Dr. Sandeep Kumar as Chief Operating Officer to help scale global operations.
Management highlighted six consecutive quarters of sequential revenue growth, which signals a period of sustained operational progress and a step-up in resources with the new financing and executive hire.
The stock trades at $8.91, with a year-to-date gain of 24.4%, even though the 90-day return is down 44.2%, reflecting a sharp pullback after earlier strength.
Taken together, POET Technologies now has more capital, expanding production plans, and a strengthened leadership bench, but the share price swings show that execution on the manufacturing ramp and large customer agreements remains a central risk. 공고 • Aug 05

POET Technologies Targets 1 Million Monthly Optical Engines Backed by $830 Million Raise POET Technologies plans to ramp optical engine production capacity more than tenfold to 1 million units per month by the end of 2027, funded by roughly $830 million in equity raised over the past year and supported by expected supply deals and higher capex in the second half of 2026.
Management’s expansion plan is tied to photonics partnerships and anticipated high-volume deployments, which could test POET Technologies’ ability to execute on large-scale manufacturing and manage capital needs through the build-out period.
POET Technologies shares trade at $8.27, with the stock down 40.6% over the past 30 days, highlighting recent volatility despite earlier gains this year.
The key issue to watch is how effectively POET converts this sizeable capital raise and capacity build into firm, profitable demand, since delays or weaker-than-expected orders could leave shareholders exposed to dilution and underused assets. 실시간 뉴스 • Jun 26
POET Technologies Secures Lumilens Deal With $50 Million Order and Five-Year Upside Potential POET Technologies announced a partnership with Lumilens that includes an initial US$50 million order for AI infrastructure products, with the agreement described as having potential to scale to more than US$500 million over five years.
The deal is framed as a major contract win for POET Technologies and sits alongside ongoing class-action suits tied to an alleged Celestial AI NDA breach and plans for up to US$375 million in capital raises in 2025, which could be dilutive for existing shareholders.
POET Technologies shares trade at US$10.13, after a strong move over the past 90 days, with the stock up 95.2% across that period.
The combination of a large new commercial partner and sizeable potential future orders comes with clear trade-offs, as investors also have to weigh legal overhangs and the prospect of significant equity issuance. 실시간 뉴스 • Jun 13
POET Technologies Raises US$400 Million Faces Lawsuits and Volatile Stock After Key Order Loss POET Technologies closed a US$400m registered direct offering, issuing roughly 19 million shares and the same number of warrants to fund a planned tenfold expansion in manufacturing as well as support R&D, acquisitions and general operations.
The company secured a US$50m initial order from Lumilens for Electrical-Optical Interposer engines, with a stated possibility of more than US$500m in revenue over five years, while also reporting multiple securities class action lawsuits tied to alleged misstatements on tax status and confidentiality breaches that triggered Marvell-related order cancellations.
POET’s stock has swung sharply, including a drop of up to 47% following the Marvell order loss and dilution concerns, along with later gains linked to AI-related optimism and commentary from sector leaders, all against a backdrop of minimal current revenue, a US$291m accumulated deficit and material weaknesses in internal controls.
The picture that emerges is a company with substantial funding and ambitious capacity plans, but also material execution, customer concentration and legal risks that could influence how quickly its AI photonics opportunities translate into consistent revenue.
If you are considering the stock, it makes sense to weigh POET’s large cash balance and new orders against ongoing lawsuits, internal control issues and the possibility of continued volatility as the business works toward higher volume manufacturing.
