New major risk - Share price stability The company's share price has been highly volatile over the past 3 months. It is more volatile than 90% of Australian stocks, typically moving 18% a week. This is considered a major risk. Share price volatility increases the risk of potential losses in the short-term as the stock tends to have larger drops in price more frequently than other stocks. It may also indicate the stock is highly sensitive to market conditions or economic conditions rather than being sensitive to its own business performance, which may also be inconsistent. Currently, the following risks have been identified for the company: Major Risks Share price has been highly volatile over the past 3 months (18% average weekly change). Earnings have declined by 43% per year over the past 5 years. Shareholders have been substantially diluted in the past year (33% increase in shares outstanding). New minor risk - Shareholder dilution The company's shareholders have been diluted in the past year. Increase in shares outstanding: 15% This is considered a minor risk. Shareholder dilution occurs when there is an increase in the number of shares on issue that is not proportionally distributed between all shareholders. Often due to the company raising equity capital or some options being converted into stock. All else being equal, if there are more shares outstanding then each existing share will be entitled to a lower proportion of the company's total earnings, thus reducing earnings per share (EPS). While dilution might not always result in lower EPS (like if the company is using the capital to fund an EPS accretive acquisition) in a lot cases it does, along with lower dividends per share and less voting power at shareholder meetings. Currently, the following risks have been identified for the company: Minor Risks Currently unprofitable and not forecast to become profitable over next 3 years (AU$4.0m net loss in 3 years). Share price has been volatile over the past 3 months (14% average weekly change). Shareholders have been diluted in the past year (15% increase in shares outstanding). New minor risk - Share price stability The company's share price has been volatile over the past 3 months. It is more volatile than 75% of Australian stocks, typically moving 13% a week. This is considered a minor risk. It also increases the risk of potential losses in the short term as the stock tends to have larger drops in price more frequently than other stocks. New minor risk - Market cap size The company's market capitalization is less than US$100m. Market cap: AU$149.4m (US$97.9m) This is considered a minor risk. Companies with a small market capitalization are most likely businesses that have not yet released a product to market or are simply a very small company without a wide reach. Either way, risk is elevated with these companies because there is a chance the product may not come to fruition or the company's addressable market or demand may not be as large as expected. In addition, if the company's size is the main factor, it is less likely to have many investors and analysts following it and scrutinizing its performance and outlook. Currently, the following risks have been identified for the company: Minor Risks Less than 1 year of cash runway based on current free cash flow (-AU$95m). Shareholders have been diluted in the past year (2.1% increase in shares outstanding). Market cap is less than US$100m (AU$149.4m market cap, or US$97.9m). 공시 • Dec 08

Lake Resources NL Refreshes Kachi Lithium Brine Project Pre-Feasibility Study (Pfs) Based on Revised Lithium Price Estimates Lake Resources NL has refreshed the Company's Kachi Lithium Brine Project Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) based on revised lithium price estimates which has increased the project value NPV8 to USD 1.6 billion. Lake is assessing a potential expansion to production of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE1) from Kachi. The Kachi Lithium Brine Project Pre-Feasibility Study of 25,500 tpa of lithium carbonate was refreshed with an updated lithium price forecast of USD 15,500/tonne for high- purity battery grade lithium carbonate (CIF Asia), without changing other parameters. This demonstrates a more robust financial outcome than the original conservative PFS price assumptions. An expansion of production at the Kachi project is being assessed as part of Lake's aspirational target to become a large producer of high purity sustainable lithium. There is an option to expand with either lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate. This is amid projections of a growing supply deficit for high purity battery-grade product. Planned Kachi lithium production will have a smaller environmental footprint than conventional methods, with significantly reduced water usage, land use and carbon footprint and these ESG benefits are increasingly sought after by electric vehicle makers (OEM's). Expanded production at a significant and relevant scale for the battery supply chain, which could take placeafter full capacity has been achieved from initial production, would be expected to lower total operating costs and deliver economies of scale in capital cost savings, while delivering high quality product. Potential for further cost reductions would come through the use of solar hybrid power, which would also lower the project's total carbon dioxide footprint. The updated lithium carbonate price used to refresh the PFS, was based on ongoing discussions with potential off takers for high purity lithium carbonate and recent projections from Benchmark Mineral Intelligence. The original PFS was based on a conservative flat price of USD 11,000/tonne lithium carbonate (CIF Asia) for 25 years. Apart from revised lithium price estimates, all material assumptions in the refreshed PFS are unchanged from the original PFS including the assumptions upon which the production target is based and the forecast financial information. 공시 • Mar 04
Lake Resources NL Confirms Positive Results from Initial Testing by Novonix for the Production of Nmc622-Based Lithium-Ion Battery Test Cells Lake Resources NL confirms positive results from initial testing by Novonix for the production of NMC622-based lithium-ion battery test cells using samples of Lake's high 99.97% purity lithium carbonate. Novonix Limited
received commercial samples of NMC622-hydroxide precursor from Tier 1 producers, together with samples of Lake's high 99.97% purity lithium carbonate, to conduct a real-world direct comparison of Lake's product into NMC622 batteries and its suitability for the nickel cathode sector. Lake's high-quality product yielded improved capacity retention and better electrochemical behaviour in coin cells compared to the commercially available product from Tier 1 producers. Larger scale tests will be conducted using batch-scale synthesis to demonstrate repeatability, homogeneity, and cell characterisation and validation in full lithium-ion wound pouch cells, as part of Novonix's pilot scale cell line facilities in Nova Scotia, Canada. This will enable Lake and its potential partner and customers to make direct comparisons of Lake's lithium product's performance in familiar battery chemistries. Novonix anticipates this testing process to take some months. Lake will update the market as soon as results are available. The cathode material was tested for electrochemical properties using coin half-cell testing. Powders were characterised using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) to understand morphology and phase purity. The XRD showed no impurities. Lake's lithium carbonate was used as received and also milled but no appreciable difference was noted in the resultant NMC powders once synthesised. NMC622 was mixed with conducting carbon and binder, cast on to an aluminium foil current collector, dried, punched and assembled into a lithium-ion battery half-cell which yielded similar voltage profiles, improved capacity retention and better electrochemical behaviour compared to the commercially available product from Tier 1 producers. Lake Resources NL Announces Further Progress Towards the Development of Sustainable, High-Purity Lithium Lake Resources NL announced further progress towards the development of sustainable, high-purity lithium, following confirmation that Hazen Research Inc. is well advanced in producing initial larger samples of battery quality lithium carbonate. Initial samples are anticipated within 15-18 days, with more samples to follow progressively as brines are delivered and processed, according to the Colorado-based company. Hazen is conducting a thorough analysis to optimize the process for a superior product. The outcome will be beneficial as treatment is commenced of the larger samples in the near future. Hazen is in the bulk precipitation phase, one of the final stages of producing initial larger lithium carbonate samples from the concentrated lithium chloride produced from Lilac's lithium extraction pilot plant module in California, using brines from Lake's Kachi Lithium Brine Project. Photos of some of the equipment used are attached. The first larger samples will be despatched to Novonix Battery Technology Solutions, a Nova Scotia-based independent testing and development laboratory used by recognised battery makers, to produce NMC622-based lithium-ion battery test cells using Lake's battery quality lithium carbonate. Under the agreement with Novonix Limited, lithium carbonate samples provided by Lake will be used together with commercial battery cathode precursor materials to form an NMC622 cathode and battery. Novonix is currently developing million mile battery technologies with revolutionary anode and cathode materials. Lake has attracted growing international interest in its efforts to advance direct extraction technology, including an invitation-only presentation to leading German industry officials, together with the recent presentation to the ASX Small and Mid-Cap Conference 2020. Lilac Solution's lithium extraction pilot plant module has successfully processed Kachi brine with high recoveries to produce lithium chloride, which is suitable for processing into battery grade lithium carbonate using conventional carbonate processing. Lilac has previously produced 99.9% pure lithium carbonate from this lithium chloride using the conventional lithium carbonate process. 공시 • Aug 27
