Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. Introduces 401M Mid-Infrared Pyrometer for Precise Semiconductor Process Control Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. announced the launch of the 401M mid-infrared optical pyrometer, designed for high-precision, non-contact temperature measurement in semiconductor and industrial process environments. The 401M debuts at SEMICON West 2025. Engineered for speed and accuracy, the 401M enables real-time closed-loop control with response times as low as 1 microsecond and accuracy within +-3degC across a wide temperature range of 50degC to 1,300degC, based on measurement wavelengths. Its mid-infrared technology is ideal for preferential measurement through transparent surfaces, as well as outside of the process environment, making it ideal for lamp-heated epitaxy, CVD, and thin-film glass coating processes where traditional near-IR pyrometers are ineffective. With EtherCAT communication built into the hardware, the 401M eliminates the need for external modules, simplifying tool integration and reducing potential failure points. Customizable measurement wavelengths, temperature range, working distance and spot size enable it to be adapted across various deposition environments and materials, meeting the evolving needs of advanced process environments. It is backwards compatible with the existing OR400M platform, for a simple and cost-effective upgrade. The 401M will be showcased at SEMICON West, Phoenix Convention Center, October 7-9, booth #5945. This fits within Advanced Energy's (AE) overriding theme of 'Advancing the Angstrom Era' with AE power and unmatched control. Annuncio • Oct 07

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. Introduces First Fully Integrated, Intelligent Configurable Capacitor Charger for Surgical and Aesthetic Laser Applications Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. introduced the Excelsys FC1500, the industry’s first fully integrated capacitor charger and multiple output power supply. The FC1500 delivers constant charge power and eliminates the need for multiple power supplies in medical laser and Intense Pulsed Light therapy equipment. Conventional laser and IPL systems rely on capacitors that are charged to high voltages and then discharged to generate high-current pulses. By delivering 1500 W constant power over all charge voltages from 200 V to 1000 V, the FC1500 enables faster charging of capacitors when used at lower voltages in mixed technology systems. This helps reduce treatment times. Conventional systems also require multiple power supplies to provide high voltage inputs for capacitor charging and low voltage AC-DC conversion for system electronics such as touch panels, pumps, cooling elements and other treatments. A fully integrated capacitor charging and AC-DC power supply, the FC1500 addresses these power demands with a single unit. For capacitor charging, the FC1500 can operate with large capacitance and low capacitance loads, and deliver up to 1500 W constant power with programmable charge voltages from 0 to 1000 VDC. Pulse-to-pulse stability with a repeatability of +/-0.2% is achieved through adaptive control of every pulse, while a programmable power limit enables the system to maximize the current drawn for the wall socket. A current sense signal enhances reliability by allowing the stress on the system capacitors to be accurately calculated. For system power, the FC1500 offers a maximum power rating of 800 W and up to 10 isolated DC outputs. Field-configurable outputs provide a ‘plug-and-play’ approach to address specific application requirements. The option to connect outputs in series and parallel allows designers to support higher voltages and currents. The FC1500 incorporates intelligent analog and digital control via the PMBus with ‘set and forget’ features and storage capabilities that enable faster time-to-market for medical OEMs. Compliant with IEC60601-1 and IEC60601-1-2, the internal fan-cooled power supply is rated for Level 4 input surge protection, safety approved to an altitude of 3000 m and has an MTBF of over 900,000 hours. Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. Announces GROWINSIGHT, an Advanced Horticultural Monitoring and Control System Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. announced GROWINSIGHT by Advanced Energy, an advanced horticultural monitoring and control system. Designed to bring the power of cloud computing to Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), this flexible system simplifies monitoring and control, as well as reduces capital and operating costs. Fully integrated with Advanced Energy’s power-saving centralized DC power distribution architecture, GROWINSIGHT allows users to optimize growing conditions by providing a single system for the control and monitoring of lighting power systems, temperature, CO2, humidity and PAR (photosynthetic active radiation) sensors, as well as cameras. Secure cloud integration and local execution ensures that network interruptions do not impact deployed processes and that growing conditions can be monitored from anywhere. In horticultural lighting applications, traditional 0 – 10 V lighting power systems typically only offer LED dimming control compared to both control and monitoring with GROWINSIGHT. Conventional 0 - 10 V systems require a device per zone while each GROWINSIGHT controller can manage multiple lighting zones to reduce hardware expenditure. Lighting schedules are created and deployed from a cloud environment and executed locally by a node controller that has a secure, wired connection to the centralized power system. Node controllers monitor the lighting power system and synchronize status to the site gateway which then synchronizes data to the cloud. Schedules can be created for any type of LED system and up to 32 lighting zones, which increases to 64 when used with an intelligent transfer switch (ITS). Alerts can be set based on environmental sensor feedback or when the system detects issues. Annuncio • Jul 12

Advanced Energy’s ORv3-Compliant Power Shelf with Hot Swappable PSUs Delivers Industry-Leading Efficiency Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. launched its latest Open Compute Project (OCP) Open Rack version 3 (ORv3) compliant high-density AC-DC power shelf with industry-leading power efficiency. Fully compatible with the latest ORv3 1OU 21” open rack standard, the Advanced Energy Artesyn power shelf supports the evolution to 48 V rack power architecture which minimizes power consumption and improves the reliability of compute and storage applications in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. Offering 15 kW N+1 redundancy with peak efficiencies of over 97%, the new power shelf can be supplied with single or dual AC power inlets. It accommodates up to six 3 kW hot-swappable single-phase AC-DC power supplies and a removeable shelf controller. Each power supply can deliver a 50.5 V, 60 A output and accepts an input of 180 to 305 Vac. A narrow output voltage range eliminates oversized design and simplifies downstream conversion to lower voltages.
