I don't know about you, but a single egg transported in many different baskets seems like a waste of time and energy... har har.Diversifying over many sectors makes sense for an extremely long outlook (say 20+ years) and primarily designed for uneducated/risk-averse/busy/extremely high capital pseudo-investors that simply do not want to take the time to actively manage their portfolios.These people simply buy all-world ETF's or the 500 and leave it - however I've never heard of anyone get rich from this strategy, and even if they did, they would still be at the mercy of market forces and black-swan events that they have no control over.
