Effective 03 October 2025, Jenny Chandler Graham has been promoted to Executive Vice President - Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Skanska Divests Office Building in Lodz, Poland, for PLN 130 Million Skanska has divested the second phase of the Brama Miasta office complex in Lodz, Poland, to Lodz Voivodeship for PLN 160 million, including VAT. Skanska Commercial Development Europe will include the transaction value of PLN 130 million, about SEK 340 million, excluding VAT, in the third quarter of 2025. The transfer of the property will take place immediately. The second phase of the office complex offers about 14,500 square meters of modern, sustainable office and retail space. The transaction includes the complete fit-out of the interior premises. The building features a publicly accessible patio with amphitheater-style stairs. It is located close to train, bus, and tram. Brama Miasta is a landmark in Lodz's New Centre. It is clearly visible from the nearby Lodz Fabryczna station thanks to its distinctive corten steel facade, which reflects the city's industrial heritage. The two-building office complex totals around 44,000 square meters of leasable area. It holds a LEED Gold certification and a "Building without barriers" certificate, as it is accessible to people with disabilities, elderly, and children, underlining its commitment to inclusivity and universal design. The alliance agreement between Rejlers, Skanska, Sweco, Sipti and APRT Architects marks the start of a continued collaboration between the parties. The tram depot project has ambitious environmental targets, aiming at significantly reducing carbon emissions and contributing to Helsinki's goal of climate neutrality by 2030. The new Koskela tram depot will respond to the demands of rapidly increasing volumes of tram traffic and sustainable urban mobility. The new depot will have 41,000 square metres of gross floor area. Among other things, the depot will have space to store approximately 50 trams, approximately 13 daily maintenance areas, 13 maintenance bays, a lathing track, and areas to store and service the maintenance vehicles. Rejlers will bring strong expertise in technical building services and energy design to the project and is responsible for designing the HVAC, automation, energy, electrical and sprinkler systems. Skanska Launches New Business Stream Investment Properties and Revised Financial Targets for the Group Skanska has performed a strategic bottom-up process and introduces a new business stream, Investment Properties, and revised financial targets. The revisions consist of a target for the new stream and a new limit for the Group adjusted net debt. When a property is identified as suitable it will be divested internally from the Commercial Property Development stream to Investment Properties and will be accounted for at market value. The divestment will trigger a recognition of the value created in the Commercial Property Development stream. All transaction prices will be supported by third party valuations and the internal divestments will be announced externally. In the new stream, properties will be held at market value. Post transfer, additional value creation and the operating net will be recognized in the Investment Properties stream. The new stream will be externally reported with a separate income statement and KPIs that suitably reflects the business and will be incorporated into the consolidated reporting in the same manner as the other business streams. Skanska Divests Multi-Family Project in Malmö, Sweden, for About SEK 300 Million Skanska has divested a residential project consisting of rental apartments, senior apartments and a home for people with special needs in Malmö, Sweden. The buyer is Bantorget Hyresbostäder AB. The selling price is about SEK 300M, which will be recorded by Skanska Sweden in the Residential Development stream in the second quarter 2021. The transfer will take place in connection with completion in August 2023. The project, developed by Skanska Hyresbostäder, is built on leasehold land and comprise about 7,200 square meters for housing, of which 68 rental apartments, 40 senior apartments, a home for people with special needs and a retail space. The variety of housing that the project offers will open the expansive area Hyllie in Malmö to new groups. Based on a social sustainability analysis, Skanska has designed the courtyard with rich greenery providing several meeting places and rooms for socializing activities. The senior apartments will be leased to people aged 65, and over, looking for greater community belonging and an attentive environment. Among other, a common area is offered at the top of the building and a daily host will be available to help the residents with various tasks, arrange activities and act as social support function. Environmental and social sustainability has been in focus for the development. A photovoltaic system that generates electricity on an annual basis corresponding to about 35% of the property's total need will be installed on the roof. Construction will start in the summer of 2021 and completion will take place in stages until August 2023. Skanska is one of the leading construction- and project development companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. Skanska Signs New Lease with the Swedish Transport Administration for Office Building in Malmö, Sweden Skanska AB (publ) announced that it has signed a 6-year lease agreement with The Swedish Transport Administration for approximately 6,000 square meters in the Aqua office building, which is currently being built in Malmö, Sweden. With this lease the building is now about 70% occupied. The Swedish Transport Administration will move in after the summer of 2022 and will have access to a large range of services, excellent communications and proximity to nature and park areas. Aqua is located on Universitetsholmen in Malmö, right next to the canal and with the central station within walking distance. Each office has its own terrace adapted for outdoor work. Skanska Signs Lease in the Nowy Rynek Office Complex in Poznan, Poland Skanska has signed a lease agreement with a technology company for about 26,000 square meters office space and 177 parking lots in the third office building in a mixed-use project in Poznan, Poland. The tenant will move in the second quarter of 2021. Nowy Rynek is Skanska's third commercial development in Poznan, with a total usable space of approximately 100,000 square meters. The complex is in the central business district, creating a new quarter in the city of Poznan. Skanska sold the first two buildings of Nowy Rynek to Franklin Templeton Investments and Corum Asset Management. The third building will provide about 39,000 square meters of modern office space. It is expected to receive several certifications: LEED Gold, Building without Barriers, and WELL Core&Shell (silver) awarded to high-quality office spaces with top safety standards that reduce the risk of disease transmission and facilitate creating healthy and safe workplaces. Construction of the third building in the Nowy Rynek office complex started in May 2019 and it will be completed in the second quarter of 2021. John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) and Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. signed an agreement to acquire Elizabeth River Crossings concession from Skanska AB (publ) (OM:SKA B) and Macquarie Infrastructure Partners II, L.P., fund of Macquarie Infrastructure Partners Inc. for $1.1 billion on November 9, 2020. The final purchase price may be adjusted as a result of certain conditions. Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. will hold a maximum of 68%, which may be reduced to a minimum of 51%. The asset had a 2019 EBITDA of $60 million and a net debt of $1,127 million in 2019. Completion of the sale is subject to regulatory approvals and other consents and conditions. It is anticipated that completion of the divestment will take place by the end of 2020. The contract is worth GBP 52M, about SEK 580M, and will be included in the order bookings for Europe in the fourth quarter of 2020. Skanska will replace the SAS13 bridge on the Stechford to Aston rail line to the east of Birmingham. The existing bridge comprising eight masonry arches and a central steelwork span, will be demolished, and replaced with a single 92 meter span steel structure. Skanska Signs Contract with Statsbygg Skanska has signed a contract with Statsbygg for the renovation of the governmental office building in Oslo. The contract is worth NOK 1.12 billion, about SEK 1.1 billion, and will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2020. The renovation of the governmental office building, known as Høyblokken, is one of a number of renovation and new construction projects which are part of the reconstruction of the Government block in downtown Oslo. Høyblokken was one of the buildings that suffered the most extensive damage in the terrorist attack on July 22, 2011. The building will be renovated to provide a safe and well-functioning office space for almost 500 people. In total 17,000 square meters will be renovated and rebuilt. Citycon Selects Skanska to Build Four Residential Towers as Part of Its Lippulaiva Urban Development Project Citycon has signed an agreement with Skanska on constructing four residential towers as part of the Lippulaiva urban development project. This is consistent with Citycon's strategy of developing urban hubs. Citycon is increasingly concentrating on developing mixed-use projects in which residentials, offices, retail and diverse service offerings are closely related to the transportation. Four residential towers with 4-14 storeys and 275 apartments will be built in the north-western end of Lippulaiva above the bus terminal. The construction will begin in the spring 2021, and the residential towers will be completed at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. This is a critical step in Citycon's push to grow its residential business. A total of eight residential towers, including 550 new apartments, will be built on the site. The preliminary agreement on selling residential building rights of two residential towers to construction company Hausia was signed on 2 December. Construction company Skanska is also the primary contractor for the shopping centre part of the Lippulaiva urban development project. The contract agreement concerning the shopping centre was signed in October 2019. Skanska Sign Contract with Equinor Skanska has signed a contract with Equinor on the construction of site development, buildings and an import quay for the new CO\2\ reception facility in Øygarden west of Bergen. The contract was subject to final approval in the Norwegian Parliament regarding the full-scale carbon capture storage project (CCS-project) in Norway. This approval is now in place and the contract worth NOK 380 million, about SEK 365 million, will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2020. The project is the main construction contract in the Northern Lights project, which is a collaboration between Equinor, Shell and Total. The contract includes the preparation of a new plot area, construction of an import quay, an administration building as well as workshop and laboratory buildings for the new reception facility. The Northern Lights project is part of the full-scale CCS project in Norway. The full-scale project includes capture of CO\2\ from industrial capture sources and shipping of liquid CO\2\ to the onshore terminal in Øygarden on the Norwegian west coast. From the terminal, the liquified CO\2\ will be transported by pipeline to an offshore storage location subsea in the North Sea, for permanent storage. Skanska Builds Apartments in Helsinki, Finland Skanska has signed a contract with the City of Helsinki to build new apartments in Helsinki, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 34M, about SEK 350M, to be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2020. The project encompasses three apartment buildings totalling 170 subsidized apartments in Jätkäsaari district in Helsinki. The buildings will represent the highest energy efficiency class and include rooftop solar panels that will help generate some of the electricity used by the property. In addition, a wastewater heat recovery system will be installed in the tallest of the three buildings. Skanska will be responsible not only for the construction of the site, but also for its design and technical building installations. The buildings will be built on the same block where Skanska is currently constructing other rental apartments for the City of Helsinki. Skanska has previously built several apartment buildings for the City of Helsinki in the same district. City of Lahti Has Chosen Caverion and Skanska to Implement the Life Cycle Project of the Renkomäki Community Centre The city of Lahti has chosen Caverion and Skanska to implement the life cycle project of the Renkomäki community centre. In the construction phase, Caverion will be responsible for the delivery of the total technical solutions, including design. Upon completion of the community centre, Caverion will be responsible for the technical maintenance and managed services of the property for 20 years. Skanska is responsible for the engineering work including design and acts as the general contractor in the project phase. The building uses functional, energy-efficient and life-cycle-proof technical solutions, and the conversion flexibility of the premises is taken into account in selected technologies. Low carbon footprint is achieved by good overall planning and by utilising renewable energies. The community centre will become the functional and communal center of the whole area and the village community. The building will be a bright, safe and child-oriented place with a good setting created for encounters and cooperation. In the interior design, homely and harmonious solutions will be preferred. The community centre will house the schools of Renkomäki and Ali-Juhakkala, as well as early childhood education and pre-school education. The Renkomäki Library will also move to the new building. The community centre will be located adjacent to the current Renkomäki school, and it will accommodate approximately 560 children. The total area of the building is about 8,000 square metres.
