IHG Hotels Resorts Announces Mark Sergot as Chief Development Officer, Americas IHG Hotels Resorts (IHG on January 16, 2026 announced the appointment of Mark Sergot as its new Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the Americas. Sergot will lead IHG's Americas Development organization, including its current leadership team, spearheading the region's growth strategy across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Sergot has more than 25 years of industry experience in sales leadership roles across global hospitality organizations. He joined IHG in 2020 as Vice President of Global Sales Operations Enablement. Intercontinental Hotels Group plc Announces to Launch A New Collection Brand InterContinental Hotels Group PLC announced to launch a new collection brand within the large, fast-growing premium segment in the coming months, positioned in upscale to upper upscale. The new brand will initially focus on their EMEAA region where there is a significant proportion of high-quality hotels with their own unique identity, and where a collection brand will expand their offer for guests and allow more owners to benefit from their enterprise platform. IHG Hotels & Resorts Appoints Jaideep Dang as Head of Development, South West Asia IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Jaideep Dang as head of development, South West Asia. The hospitality chain said in his new role, Dang will be responsible for driving IHG growth strategy across the region and will report directly to Sudeep Jain, MD, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts. Dang brings with him over 22 years of experience in the hospitality and real estate sectors. He joins IHG from JLL India, where, as Managing Director Hotels & Hospitality Group, he led the advisory and transactions business for India and South Asia. IHG said under his leadership, the business established a 'market leading' position in hotel investment sales, and built a 'strong', 'high-performing' team recognized for delivering 'outstanding' advisory on hotel project feasibilities, valuations, management contracts, and development strategies. Prior to JLL, Dang spent eight years with The Oberoi Group as senior vice president, Strategic Development. India is a priority growth market for IHG, the company said. InterContinental Hotels Group Announces Management Changes InterContinental Hotels Group announced that Jolyon Bulley will succeed Elie Maalouf as Americas CEO. Jolyon is currently IHG's Chief Executive Officer for the Greater China region, and also the Group's Transformation Lead for Luxury & Lifestyle. The appointment follows the announcement on 5 May that Elie will become IHG's Group Chief Executive Officer on 1 July following Keith Barr's decision to step down to return with his family to the US. Jolyon has been CEO for Greater China since 2018 and is a member of IHG's Executive Committee. He was previously Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Americas region from 2014 to 2017. He will take up his new position on 1 July and will be returning to his family home in Atlanta in the US where he will be based. A career hotelier, Jolyon has held a number of significant roles at IHG since he joined the business in 2001. As CEO for Greater China, he has been responsible for accelerating the growth and driving the profitability of IHG's second-largest market. Prior to that, as COO for the Americas, Jolyon led the region's operations for franchised and managed hotels, strengthening owner relationships and hotel operating performance. This led on from Jolyon holding the same role as COO for Greater China, where he similarly oversaw the region's hotel portfolio and brand performance, new hotel openings and owner relations. As IHG concludes succession planning for Jolyon's responsibilities in Greater China, Daniel Aylmer, Managing Director for Greater China, will report into Elie and continue his responsibilities in China. Transition planning is underway for Jolyon's other commitments. Jolyon Bulley is Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, and Group Transformation Lead, Luxury & Lifestyle. Jolyon is responsible for the management, growth and profitability of IHG's Greater China region and for the development and defining of a clear strategy for IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle brands globally. A career hotelier, Jolyon has held a number of significant roles at IHG and was appointed CEO for Greater China in January 2018. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Americas from 2014 to 2017, leading the region's operations for franchised and managed hotels, in addition to cultivating franchisee relationships and enhancing hotel operating performance. Jolyon also served as COO for Greater China, with oversight of the region's hotel portfolio and brand performance, new hotel openings and owner relations. In 2021, he was appointed to lead the Luxury & Lifestyle Transformation Team. Jolyon joined IHG in 2001, as Director of Operations, New South Wales in Australia, and then held roles of increasing responsibility across IHG's Asia-Pacific region.
