Dynatrace, Inc. (NYSE:DT) defied analyst predictions to release its third-quarter results, which were ahead of market expectations. It was overall a positive result, with revenues beating expectations by 2.2% to hit US$436m. Dynatrace also reported a statutory profit of US$1.19, which was an impressive 848% above what the analysts had forecast. The analysts typically update their forecasts at each earnings report, and we can judge from their estimates whether their view of the company has changed or if there are any new concerns to be aware of. With this in mind, we've gathered the latest statutory forecasts to see what the analysts are expecting for next year.

After the latest results, the 35 analysts covering Dynatrace are now predicting revenues of US$1.94b in 2026. If met, this would reflect a notable 19% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are forecast to plunge 56% to US$0.72 in the same period. Before this earnings report, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of US$1.93b and earnings per share (EPS) of US$0.71 in 2026. So it's pretty clear that, although the analysts have updated their estimates, there's been no major change in expectations for the business following the latest results.

It will come as no surprise then, to learn that the consensus price target is largely unchanged at US$65.13. The consensus price target is just an average of individual analyst targets, so - it could be handy to see how wide the range of underlying estimates is. The most optimistic Dynatrace analyst has a price target of US$71.00 per share, while the most pessimistic values it at US$54.20. With such a narrow range of valuations, the analysts apparently share similar views on what they think the business is worth.

One way to get more context on these forecasts is to look at how they compare to both past performance, and how other companies in the same industry are performing. It's pretty clear that there is an expectation that Dynatrace's revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2026 expected to display 15% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 23% over the past five years. Juxtapose this against the other companies in the industry with analyst coverage, which are forecast to grow their revenues (in aggregate) 12% annually. So it's pretty clear that, while Dynatrace's revenue growth is expected to slow, it's expected to grow roughly in line with the industry.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away is that there's been no major change in sentiment, with the analysts reconfirming that the business is performing in line with their previous earnings per share estimates. They also reconfirmed their revenue estimates, with the company predicted to grow at about the same rate as the wider industry. The consensus price target held steady at US$65.13, with the latest estimates not enough to have an impact on their price targets.
