Mr. Kasaneva spent most of the last 10 years, worked for Meridian Gold at El Penon and served as its Underground Mine Geologist during initial construction and then Exploration Manager, when the Dorada, Fortuna and Al Este discoveries were made. Mr. Kasaneva has an extensive experience in the mining industry and held positions with Meridian Gold Inc., Compañía Minera Mantos De Oro, Codelco Chile, Inversiones Mineras Del Inca among other leading exploration and mining operations. He has been an Executive Director of Austral Gold Limited since October 7, 2009. He has been a Member of Technical Advisory Board at Argentex Mining Corporation since July 2, 2013. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Geology from Catolica del Norte University of Antofagasta, Chile in 1988.
