Mr. Fibig is responsible for IFF’s worldwide operations, representing approximately $3 Billion in annual revenues and more than 6,000 employees. He is a global business leader, with more than 25 years of international experience, including executive responsibilities in Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia. Among the hallmarks of Mr. Fibig’s career are emphases on long-term planning, innovation across all functional areas and the establishment of strong, mutually-beneficial partnerships with customers and stakeholders. He started his career in the health care industry at Schering. He has a record of generating successful results in both highly-competitive developed markets and emerging growth markets. He has consistently devoted major investment and interest to people development, making the recognition, reward and promotion of talent a top priority and a critical success factor among his teams. He has extensive experience in international business, product developmen and strategic planning. He has been the Chairman at International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. since December 1, 2014. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology. Mr. Fibig served as the President and Chairman of the Board of Management at Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc., the pharmaceutical division of Bayer AG, from September 2008 to September 2014. He served as an Independent Director of Bunge Limited from August 29, 2016 to May 24, 2018. He has been Member of Executive Committee at cil for Sustainable Development, Geneva since January 1, 2017. He has been a Director of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. since March 8, 2011. International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., together with its subsidiaries, manufactures flavors and fragrances for use in various consumer products. It operates through three segments: Taste, Scent, and Frutarom. The Taste segment offers flavor compounds primarily to the food and beverage industries for use in consumer products, such as prepared foods, beverages, dairy, food, and sweet products. The Scent segment provides fragrance compounds, which include fine fragrances comprising perfumes and colognes, as well as consumer fragrances for personal care, household products, and beauty care; fragrance ingredients comprising synthetic and natural ingredients that could be combined with other materials to create fragrance and consumer compounds; and cosmetic active ingredients consisting of active and functional ingredients, botanicals, and delivery systems to support its customers’ cosmetic and personal care product lines. This segment serves perfume and toiletries manufacturers in the cosmetics industry; and manufacturers of soaps, detergents, fabric care, household cleaners, and air fresheners in the household products industry. The Frutarom segment creates and manufactures a naturals-focused suite of flavor compounds, functional foods, and specialty fine ingredients to small, local, and regional customers. The company has operations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Greater Asia, North America, and Latin America. International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. was founded in 1833 and is headquartered in New York, New York.
