Most Popular Narrative: 25.4% Undervalued

The most followed narrative currently places Element Solutions' fair value at $48.88 versus a last close of $36.46, framing the recent share pullback against a higher long term target based on detailed growth and margin assumptions.

Successful commercialization and scaling of innovative products such as Kuprion's active copper, which addresses emerging challenges in advanced packaging and thermal management for hyperscalers and next-gen chips, is poised to enhance the margin profile and drive high-margin earnings growth over the next several years.

Read the complete narrative.

Want to see what is behind that fair value gap, and why earnings, margins and future multiples are central to the story? The core narrative leans on a faster earnings ramp than revenues, a step change in profitability and a valuation multiple that stays above the sector, all woven into a single long term model.

Result: Fair Value of $48.88 (UNDERVALUED)

Have a read of the narrative in full and understand what's behind the forecasts.

However, Element Solutions is still exposed to swings in electronics and automotive demand, and any setback in commercializing products like active copper could quickly weaken this narrative.

Another View: Element Solutions Through The Earnings Lens

The first narrative for Element Solutions leans on discounted cash flows and analyst growth forecasts, but the current P/E of 59.7x tells a very different story. That is far above the US Chemicals industry at 25x, the peer average at 25.8x, and even the fair ratio of 31x. This spread points to meaningful valuation risk if expectations reset toward that lower multiple. Which lens do you trust more when the market mood changes?

Leverage on its own is close to useless as a screen right now, because so much corporate debt was termed out at 2 to 3% and has not repriced. A business at three times leverage with nothing due until 2031 is in a completely different position from the same ratio rolling next year. Screen on weighted average maturity and the schedule behind it.
