United Oil & Gas plc Provides SGE Survey Analysis Update for Walton-Morant Licence United Oil & Gas Plc provided an update on the analysis of piston core samples from its recently completed Seabed Geochemical Exploration ("SGE") survey over the Walton-Morant Licence offshore Jamaica. United has undertaken a geochemical analysis on the 42 piston cores acquired across the Walton-Morant Licence. The analysis has identified C4 and C5 hydrocarbons, including butanes and pentanes, in select piston cores within the headspace gas dataset. United note that these higher order hydrocarbons are not typically associated with biogenic gas systems and are therefore consistent with a potential thermogenic contribution. There is an established body of evidence for an active petroleum system in Jamaica in general, and on the licence in particular, including repeat satellite slick anomalies, thermogenic hydrocarbon geochemistry from existing onshore and offshore wells, onshore and offshore oil seeps, and onshore surface outcrops. Furthermore, petroleum systems modelling suggests the presence of oil-mature source rocks. The 2026 SGE survey is the first on the licence to be optimally positioned using 3D seismic, multibeam echosounder (MBES) seabed mapping, and satellite-derived slick anomaly data. Taken together, the data are interpreted as consistent with an active petroleum system offshore Jamaica. United will integrate the results into its geological understanding and risking models, and the dataset will support ongoing technical evaluation and farm-out discussions. Announcement • Mar 03
United Oil & Gas Plc Announces Completion of its Seabed Geochemical Exploration Programme United Oil & Gas Plc announced the successful completion of its Seabed Geochemical Exploration ("SGE") programme, including the final Stage 3 piston core survey, within the Walton-Morant Licence offshore Jamaica. The SGE programme represents a key operational step toward further de-risking the Walton-Morant Licences and progressing discussions with interested parties. All 3 stages of the SGE survey completed safely and as planned within the Walton-Morant licenses offshore Jamaica; Stage 1 - Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) successfully completed with 1,189 line kilometres of high-quality data acquired and processed; Stage 2 - Heat flow probe data acquired in both the Walton and Morant basins; Stage 3 - Based on the integration of the MBES data with existing seismic data, 42 piston coring sites were selected. During piston coring operations seabed sediment was successfully recovered from all 42 selected locations. The piston core samples are now being prepared for shipment to TDI-Brooks laboratories in the United States where they will undergo geochemical analysis to test for the presence of thermally derived hydrocarbons. Initial laboratory results are expected in the coming weeks. Results will be integrated with existing datasets to support continued advancement of United's technical evaluation and further de-risking of the Licence area. Highlights: Stage 2 seabed heat-flow measurements successfully completed; Stage 3 piston coring now underway - the critical phase of the programme; Up to 42 cores planned, primarily within the Walton Basin near the key Colibri, Streamertail and Oriole prospects, with select key locations in the Morant basin also identified; Programme designed to physically confirm an active petroleum system and further de-risk the licence; Operational Update; Stage 2 heat-flow measurements have now been completed and will provide valuable technical information for future geological modelling. Data from the previously completed Stage 1 high-resolution multibeam echosounder ("MBES") acquisition have also been integrated with the existing seismic dataset. This has resulted in the identification of numerous seabed features of interest and the selection of 42 optimal piston core locations for Stage 3 of the survey. Stage 3 piston coring is now underway, with up to 42 cores planned across priority areas, predominantly within the Walton Basin and in proximity to the Company's Colibri, Streamert retail and Oriole prospects, where existing 3D seismic and supporting datasets indicate potential hydrocarbon migration. United Oil & Gas plc Announces Completion of Stage 1 of Its Surface Geochemical Exploration Programme United Oil & Gas Plc announced the successful completion of Stage 1 of its Surface Geochemical Exploration ("SGE") programme, comprising the multibeam echosounder ("MBES") survey, on the Walton-Morant Licence offshore Jamaica. Stage 1 (MBES) of the SGE programme has successfully acquired high-quality seabed bathymetry data across approximately 1,189 km on priority areas of the licence. The MBES data provide detailed definition of seabed morphology and will support the final selection of optimal locations for subsequent seabed heat-flow measurements (Stage 2) and targeted piston core sampling (Stage 3). Following completion of the MBES phase, the survey vessel R/V Gyre returned to Kingston for equipment reconfiguration and has since departed to recommence offshore operations. Stage 2 will comprise seabed heat-flow measurement, followed by Stage 3 targeted piston core sampling. A further update will be provided upon completion of offshore operations. The SGE programme is designed to provide independent, basin-scale evidence of active hydrocarbon systems and will form an important input into United's ongoing technical evaluation of the Walton-Morant Licences and commercial discussions relating to the Walton-Morant Licencing. United Oil & Gas plc Announces Mobilisation of Survey Vessel for Jamaica Offshore Programme United Oil & Gas Plc announced that the R/V Gyre, operated by TDI Brooks International, mobilised from Trinidad on Saturday 17 January 2026 and is now en-route to Jamaica to undertake the planned offshore surface geochemical exploration survey on the Walton Morant Licence. The vessel is expected to arrive in Kingston, Jamaica in approximately five to six days. Upon arrival, the R/V Gyre will undergo pre-survey inspection and acceptance procedures, following which it will be prepared to commence offshore operations on or around 27 January 2026. Once the offshore survey programme commences, the vessel will initially complete the multibeam echo sounder (MBES) survey. This will be followed by heat flow measurements and seabed piston coring operations. Following completion of the offshore operations, recovered core samples will be shipped to TDI Brooks' laboratory in the United States for detailed geochemical analysis. Preliminary results are expected approximately one to two months after completion of the survey, with final analysis expected around mid-2026. The offshore survey programme is designed to confirm the presence of thermogenic hydrocarbons and further de-risk the basin, providing key data to support future exploration activity on the Walton Morant Licences. The Company expects to provide further updates as the survey progresses, including updates following commencement of offshore operations and following completion and review of the MBES survey, which will inform the final selection of piston coring locations. As shown, certain seabed features such as shallow depressions or pockmarks, some of which can extend to several hundred metres in diameter, can often be associated with hydrocarbons venting at the seafloor. These surface features may be linked to subsurface seismic features indicative of fluid migration, including vertical migration pathways (or fluid escape chimneys) and shallow amplitude anomalies which, in the image below, can be seen directly beneath the surface pockmarks, together with nearby seismic responses that may represent direct hydrocarbon indicators (DHIs) in the form of bright soft amplitude responses. Seismic detail and overlying seabed character at an example target location for piston coring. By targeting such features, the piston coring programme is intended to test for the presence of a thermogenic hydrocarbon signature in recovered seabed sediment.
