Metso Dismisses Speculations over Deal with Sandvik Finnish industrial machinery firm Metso Oyj (HLSE:METSO) denied on August 20, 2024 a media report which suggested that it could merge its mining equipment operations with those of Swedish engineering group Sandvik AB (publ) (OM:SAND) as the move was requested by major shareholders. “Metso has no information related to the speculations and no related insider project exists,” the Finnish firm said.
