Grupo Supervielle: Not The Best Macro Play, But 'A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats'

Summary Grupo Supervielle S.A. benefits from Argentina's improving macro outlook post-Milei's midterm win, driving a sector-wide rally in banking stocks. SUPV's fundamentals show strong loan growth, improved margins, and a shift toward a more recurring earnings profile, despite weaker capital ratios and lower profitability than peers. SUPV trades at a significant discount to peers at 0.8x book value, reflecting its lower capitalization and ROE, but current valuations offer substantial upside. Given the sector's depressed valuations and improved political backdrop, I upgrade SUPV to Buy, though Banco Macro remains my top pick among Argentine banks. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Grupo Supervielle: A High-Growth, High-Risk Position On Argentina's Banking Sector

Summary Grupo Supervielle S.A. is a leading Argentine financial institution with significant growth in digital banking, highlighted by its Invertironline platform and strong Q4 performance. The bank's aggressive loan portfolio expansion and deposit growth, particularly in U.S. dollars, position it well despite macroeconomic challenges and rising non-performing loans. Management's optimistic forecasts for 2025 include substantial loan and deposit growth, with a focus on maintaining profitability and capital efficiency amid economic uncertainties. Given its strong earnings growth, digital strategy success, and undervalued P/E ratio, I rate SUPV as a “Buy” despite potential risks. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Grupo Supervielle: Weaker Capital Ratio May Be An Important Constraint For Higher Share Price Returns Ahead

Summary Argentine banks have surged due to economic reforms post-Javier Milei's 2023 election, with reduced risk premiums and strong sovereign bond returns. Grupo Supervielle, despite strong loan growth and a more balanced asset mix, faces challenges with lower capital ratios and dividend yields compared to peers. Supervielle's rapid shift to private loans and targeted credit expansion shows promise, but its weaker capitalization may hinder sustainable growth. Banco Macro, with stronger capitalization and higher dividend yield, is a more attractive investment to capitalize on Argentina's macroeconomic normalization. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Grupo Supervielle: Buy The Recent Pullback

Summary Argentinian bank stocks rallied post-election of Milei, then pulled back, presenting a buying opportunity. Grupo Supervielle offers a wide range of financial services with strong profitability metrics and a well-diversified loan portfolio. Milei's shock therapy and austerity cuts aim to strengthen the economy, benefiting banks like Grupo Supervielle. Shares are a buy with a price target of $10. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Supervielle: A 'Higher Beta' Play On The Argentine Bank Recovery

Summary Execution risk on Supervielle has risen in light of its current CEO’s recent departure. Fundamentally, however, the bank remains on the right track to capitalize on Argentina’s latest regime shift. With the stock also priced at a wide relative discount to its peers, there’s arguably more reward per unit of risk here. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Argentina's Supervielle Is Cheap But Not A Great Business

The bank suffers from low efficiency and an unpredictable economy. Inflation and devaluation will probably continue to erode profits. In the long term, Argentina's banking sector is one of the least developed in Latin America and has plenty of room to grow. Even modest economic recovery could double the bank's earnings, therefore halving its PE. However, at present its price seems expensive, trading at 13 price to historic earnings.

Grupo Supervielle S.A.: Patience About To Pay Off

Long-term shareholders have been ultra-patient in here. Green shoots beginning to show in the financials although NIM and asset quality will be tested this year. I continue to see limited downside risk. Looking for signals when the bottoming pattern has been completed.
