Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Curt Erik Mitteregger, the Chairman of the Board of Firefly AB (publ) (STO:FIRE) recently shelled out kr630k to buy stock, at kr126 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, by either a percentage standpoint or absolute value, it can be seen as a good sign.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Firefly

Notably, that recent purchase by Chairman of the Board Curt Erik Mitteregger was not the only time they bought Firefly shares this year. Earlier in the year, they paid kr112 per share in a kr1.1m purchase. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (kr130), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.

I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
