Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Mats Andersson, the Director of Enzymatica AB (publ) (STO:ENZY) recently shelled out kr544k to buy stock, at kr2.36 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, by either a percentage standpoint or absolute value, it can be seen as a good sign.
The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Enzymatica
In fact, the recent purchase by Mats Andersson was the biggest purchase of Enzymatica shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of kr2.35. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.
