If EPS Growth Is Important To You, JWW Invest (WSE:JWW) Presents An Opportunity
Investors are often guided by the idea of discovering 'the next big thing', even if that means buying 'story stocks' without any revenue, let alone profit. Unfortunately, these high risk investments often have little probability of ever paying off, and many investors pay a price to learn their lesson. Loss making companies can act like a sponge for capital - so investors should be cautious that they're not throwing good money after bad.
Despite being in the age of tech-stock blue-sky investing, many investors still adopt a more traditional strategy; buying shares in profitable companies like JWW Invest (WSE:JWW). While this doesn't necessarily speak to whether it's undervalued, the profitability of the business is enough to warrant some appreciation - especially if its growing.

How Fast Is JWW Invest Growing Its Earnings Per Share?
JWW Invest has undergone a massive growth in earnings per share over the last three years. So much so that this three year growth rate wouldn't be a fair assessment of the company's future. Thus, it makes sense to focus on more recent growth rates, instead. Outstandingly, JWW Invest's EPS shot from zł0.32 to zł0.60, over the last year. It's not often a company can achieve year-on-year growth of 88%. That could be a sign that the business has reached a true inflection point.
One way to double-check a company's growth is to look at how its revenue, and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) margins are changing. While we note JWW Invest achieved similar EBIT margins to last year, revenue grew by a solid 66% to zł149m. That's a real positive.
In the chart below, you can see how the company has grown earnings and revenue, over time. For finer detail, click on the image.
JWW Invest isn't a huge company, given its market capitalisation of zł40m. That makes it extra important to check on its balance sheet strength.
Are JWW Invest Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
Many consider high insider ownership to be a strong sign of alignment between the leaders of a company and the ordinary shareholders. So we're pleased to report that JWW Invest insiders own a meaningful share of the business. In fact, they own 70% of the company, so they will share in the same delights and challenges experienced by the ordinary shareholders. Intuition will tell you this is a good sign because it suggests they will be incentivised to build value for shareholders over the long term. Of course, JWW Invest is a very small company, with a market cap of only zł40m. So despite a large proportional holding, insiders only have zł28m worth of stock. That's not a huge stake in absolute terms, but it should help keep insiders aligned with other shareholders.
Does JWW Invest Deserve A Spot On Your Watchlist?
JWW Invest's earnings per share growth have been climbing higher at an appreciable rate. That sort of growth is nothing short of eye-catching, and the large investment held by insiders should certainly brighten the view of the company. The hope is, of course, that the strong growth marks a fundamental improvement in the business economics. Based on the sum of its parts, we definitely think its worth watching JWW Invest very closely. You still need to take note of risks, for example - JWW Invest has 2 warning signs (and 1 which is potentially serious) we think you should know about.
