With EPS Growth And More, KNOTUSLtd (KOSDAQ:278650) Is Interesting
For beginners, it can seem like a good idea (and an exciting prospect) to buy a company that tells a good story to investors, even if it completely lacks a track record of revenue and profit. But as Warren Buffett has mused, 'If you've been playing poker for half an hour and you still don't know who the patsy is, you're the patsy.' When they buy such story stocks, investors are all too often the patsy.
In contrast to all that, I prefer to spend time on companies like KNOTUSLtd (KOSDAQ:278650), which has not only revenues, but also profits. Even if the shares are fully valued today, most capitalists would recognize its profits as the demonstration of steady value generation. While a well funded company may sustain losses for years, unless its owners have an endless appetite for subsidizing the customer, it will need to generate a profit eventually, or else breathe its last breath.

KNOTUSLtd's Improving Profits
Even with very modest growth rates, a company will usually do well if it improves earnings per share (EPS) year after year. So it's no surprise that some investors are more inclined to invest in profitable businesses. Like the last firework on New Year's Eve accelerating into the sky, KNOTUSLtd's EPS shot from â‚©557 to â‚©1,008, over the last year. You don't see 81% year-on-year growth like that, very often. That could be a sign that the business has reached a true inflection point.
I like to take a look at earnings before interest and (EBIT) tax margins, as well as revenue growth, to get another take on the quality of the company's growth. While we note KNOTUSLtd's EBIT margins were flat over the last year, revenue grew by a solid 29% to â‚©55b. That's a real positive.

Since KNOTUSLtd is no giant, with a market capitalization of â‚©210b, so you should definitely check its cash and debt before getting too excited about its prospects.
Are KNOTUSLtd Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
Personally, I like to see high insider ownership of a company, since it suggests that it will be managed in the interests of shareholders. So as you can imagine, the fact that KNOTUSLtd insiders own a significant number of shares certainly appeals to me. In fact, they own 49% of the shares, making insiders a very influential shareholder group. I'm reassured by this kind of alignment, as it suggests the business will be run for the benefit of shareholders. With that sort of holding, insiders have about â‚©102b riding on the stock, at current prices. That's nothing to sneeze at!
Should You Add KNOTUSLtd To Your Watchlist?
KNOTUSLtd's earnings per share growth have been levitating higher, like a mountain goat scaling the Alps. That EPS growth certainly has my attention, and the large insider ownership only serves to further stoke my interest. At times fast EPS growth is a sign the business has reached an inflection point; and I do like those. So yes, on this short analysis I do think it's worth considering KNOTUSLtd for a spot on your watchlist. What about risks? Every company has them, and we've spotted 2 warning signs for KNOTUSLtd you should know about.
Although KNOTUSLtd certainly looks good to me, I would like it more if insiders were buying up shares. If you like to see insider buying, too, then this free list of growing companies that insiders are buying, could be exactly what you're looking for.
