East African Cables PLC engages in the manufacture and sale of electrical cables and conductors for applications in domestic and Industrial lighting, as well as transmission and distribution of electricity in East and Central Africa. The company offers utility cables, including aluminium overhead conductors for aerial transmission lines and service drop cables for secondary overhead transmission; house wiring cables for applications in power and lighting circuits, and electrical appliances; armored and non-armored cables used in the distribution of distribute electricity throughout the national gridlines from the generation points to the industrial complexes and towns; and automotive cables for manufacturing electrical harnesses, battery cables, and ignition cables. It also provides flexible, power control, auto and battery, submersible, welding, nose-bridge, data and telecommunication, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation armored, and halogen free fire-retardant cables, as well as aerial bundled cables and conductors, and electrical accessories.
