TBO Tek Limited Just Missed Earnings - But Analysts Have Updated Their Models
TBO Tek Limited (NSE:TBOTEK) came out with its first-quarter results last week, and we wanted to see how the business is performing and what industry forecasters think of the company following this report. Revenues of ₹5.1b were in line with forecasts, although statutory earnings per share (EPS) came in below expectations at ₹5.85, missing estimates by 6.1%. The analysts typically update their forecasts at each earnings report, and we can judge from their estimates whether their view of the company has changed or if there are any new concerns to be aware of. So we gathered the latest post-earnings forecasts to see what estimates suggest is in store for next year.
After the latest results, the eight analysts covering TBO Tek are now predicting revenues of ₹21.1b in 2026. If met, this would reflect a notable 15% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are predicted to step up 11% to ₹24.16. Before this earnings report, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of ₹20.8b and earnings per share (EPS) of ₹25.93 in 2026. The analysts seem to have become a little more negative on the business after the latest results, given the small dip in their earnings per share numbers for next year.

The consensus price target held steady at ₹1,577, with the analysts seemingly voting that their lower forecast earnings are not expected to lead to a lower stock price in the foreseeable future. Fixating on a single price target can be unwise though, since the consensus target is effectively the average of analyst price targets. As a result, some investors like to look at the range of estimates to see if there are any diverging opinions on the company's valuation. Currently, the most bullish analyst values TBO Tek at ₹1,725 per share, while the most bearish prices it at ₹1,400. With such a narrow range of valuations, the analysts apparently share similar views on what they think the business is worth.
Another way we can view these estimates is in the context of the bigger picture, such as how the forecasts stack up against past performance, and whether forecasts are more or less bullish relative to other companies in the industry. We can infer from the latest estimates that forecasts expect a continuation of TBO Tek'shistorical trends, as the 21% annualised revenue growth to the end of 2026 is roughly in line with the 24% annual growth over the past year. Juxtapose this against our data, which suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in the industry are forecast to see their revenues grow 19% per year. So although TBO Tek is expected to maintain its revenue growth rate, it's only growing at about the rate of the wider industry.
The Bottom Line
The most important thing to take away is that the analysts downgraded their earnings per share estimates, showing that there has been a clear decline in sentiment following these results. They also reconfirmed their revenue estimates, with the company predicted to grow at about the same rate as the wider industry. The consensus price target held steady at ₹1,577, with the latest estimates not enough to have an impact on their price targets.
Following on from that line of thought, we think that the long-term prospects of the business are much more relevant than next year's earnings. We have estimates - from multiple TBO Tek analysts - going out to 2028, and you can see them free on our platform here.
