T.T Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Earlier in the year, Executive Chairman Rikhab Jain paid ₹38.92 per share in a ₹577k purchase. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of ₹53.70. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.
In the last twelve months T.T insiders were buying shares, but not selling. The average buy price was around ₹43.79. Although they bought at below the recent price of ₹53.70 per share, it is good to see that insiders are willing to invest in the company. Insider Ownership
Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. It's great to see that T.T insiders own 63% of the company, worth about ₹734m. This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
So What Does This Data Suggest About T.T Insiders?
It is good to see the recent insider purchase. And an analysis of the transactions over the last year also gives us confidence. But we don't feel the same about the fact the company is making losses. When combined with notable insider ownership, these factors suggest T.T insiders are well aligned, and quite possibly think the share price is too low. Nice! So while it's helpful to know what insiders are doing in terms of buying or selling, it's also helpful to know the risks that a particular company is facing.
