Quest Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In fact, the recent purchase by Executive Chairman & President Theodore Fessas was not their only acquisition of Quest Holdings shares this year. They previously made an even bigger purchase of €175k worth of shares at a price of €7.57 per share. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of €10.30. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

Insider Ownership
Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Quest Holdings insiders own about €277m worth of shares (which is 76% of the company). This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
So What Does This Data Suggest About Quest Holdings Insiders?
The recent insider purchase is heartening. We also take confidence from the longer term picture of insider transactions. But we don't feel the same about the fact the company is making losses. When combined with notable insider ownership, these factors suggest Quest Holdings insiders are well aligned, and quite possibly think the share price is too low. That's what I like to see! In addition to knowing about insider transactions going on, it's beneficial to identify the risks facing Quest Holdings.
