Insider Stock Buying Reaches UK£988.4k On Fevertree Drinks

Published
AIM:FEVR

Multiple insiders secured a larger position in Fevertree Drinks PLC (LON:FEVR) shares over the last 12 months. This is reassuring as this suggests that insiders have increased optimism about the company's prospects.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Fevertree Drinks Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Non-Executive Chair of the Board Domenico De Lorenzo for UK£438k worth of shares, at about UK£9.74 per share. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of UK£11.44. Insider Ownership

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Fevertree Drinks insiders own about UK£127m worth of shares (which is 9.5% of the company). I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
