Mr. Anthony R. Gilby, also known as Tony, B.Sc., has been the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tlou Energy Limited since March 2012. Mr. Gilby was a Founder and served as Managing Director and Executive Director at Sunshine Gas Pty Limited. He began his career as a wellsite geologist for Delhi Petroleum in the Cooper Basin. He held Subsequent positions with Delhi Petroleum and then ESSO (post ESSO’s acquisition of Delhi Petroleum), which included roles in exploration geology and geophysics as well as petrophysics. Mr. Gilby served at Exxon Production Research Centre in Houston since 1991. On return to Australia, he briefly remained with ESSO prior to relocating to Brisbane, where he served at MIM Petroleum and LL&E. In 1996, he left LL&E to take on a variety of consulting roles as well as the acquisition of prospective Queensland acreage in a private capacity. He served as Deputy Chairman of Sunshine Gas Ltd. Mr. Gilby has been an Executive Director of Sunshine Gas Ltd. since October 31, 2001. He has been a Non Executive Director of Tlou Energy Pty. Ltd since April 23, 2009. He served as a Director of Walcot Capital. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Comet Ridge Ltd. from October 6, 2009 to June 15, 2015. He is a Member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He was a founding director Chartwell Energy Limited until its merger with Comet Ridge Ltd. Mr. Gilby was awarded a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) degree in Geology from the University of Adelaide in 1984, also winning the University Medal in Geology.
