He directed the units Marketing, Corporate Communication, Business Development, Quality Management, Legal and Human Resources and was also responsible for the New Customer Division of Consors Discount-Broker AG. Since February 2002, he was responsible for the European subsidiaries and Internal Auditing. As early as 1994, he founded online broker Consors together with fellow student Reiner Mauch. He served as the Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board at FinTech Group AG until July 18, 2014 2014. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Consors France SA since December 31, 1999. Mr. Schmidt graduated in Business Administration and majored in Banking and Stock Markets.
