The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At AdAlta

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when insider Peter Meurs bought AU$1.0m worth of shares at a price of AU$0.021 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being AU$0.0035). While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 645.67m shares worth AU$2.1m. On the other hand they divested 168.17m shares, for AU$338k. Overall, AdAlta insiders were net buyers during the last year. Their average price was about AU$0.0032. It's great to see insiders putting their own cash into the company's stock, albeit at below the recent share price. Does AdAlta Boast High Insider Ownership?

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. It's great to see that AdAlta insiders own 48% of the company, worth about AU$2.8m. This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.

So What Do The AdAlta Insider Transactions Indicate?

It's certainly positive to see the recent insider purchases. We also take confidence from the longer term picture of insider transactions. But we don't feel the same about the fact the company is making losses. Once you factor in the high insider ownership, it certainly seems like insiders are positive about AdAlta. Nice!
