Forrestania Resources Limited (ASX:FRS) completed the acquisition of Newington Project in WA from Midas Minerals Limited (ASX:MM1). Forrestania Resources Limited (ASX:FRS) entered into Binding Heads of Agreement to acquire Newington Project in WA from Midas Minerals Limited (ASX:MM1) for AUD 3.7 million on May 25, 2026. The consideration consists of the upfront consideration of AUD 1.5 million in shares, priced using the 5-day VWAP before the agreement, thereby preserving cash. Additionally, it has agreed to a performance-based earnout, including AUD 1 million upon resource delineation or initial 50,000 oz gold extraction, AUD 200,000 per additional 10,000 oz, and AUD 1 million upon a formal decision to mine.
Completion remains subject to customary regulatory and third-party approvals, including any ministerial consents required, with completion expected to occur within the coming weeks following satisfaction or waiver of conditions precedent.
