WINA's core franchise model delivers high margins, but recent revenue and profit contraction highlight slow underlying growth. Excluding volatile leasing income, 2026 projections show sluggish expansion, making WINA's premium multiples unjustifiable. Compared to specialty retailers, WINA is still the most expensive by key valuation metrics without rapid growth to support it. Winmark has experienced, mission-driven management and an excellent capital allocation strategy. Over time, organic growth, margin expansion, and accretive share repurchases should create shareholder value. If the stock is too expensive to buy back, you get special dividends. Revenue declined to $21.5 million in Q3 2024, with 90.7% from royalties, while profitability remained flat at $11.1 million. Despite a 97% franchise renewal rate and store growth, revenue impact is minimal, making current trading multiples unjustifiable. Despite modest growth in store count and royalty revenue, overall revenue and profitability metrics have largely stagnated or declined. The company's balance sheet is stable, but this does not offset the high valuation of its stock. Seeking Alpha • May 07Winmark's Plunge Doesn't Mean It's Time To BuySummary Winmark Corporation remains a "Sell" due to persistent overvaluation despite recent share price declines. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Winmark has experienced, mission-driven management and an excellent capital allocation strategy. Over time, organic growth, margin expansion, and accretive share repurchases should create shareholder value. If the stock is too expensive to buy back, you get special dividends. Seeking Alpha • Feb 09Winmark: Shares Aren't Even Close To Being A BargainSummary Winmark Corporation's stock is rated a 'sell' due to its high valuation despite minimal growth and mixed financial performance. Revenue declined to $21.5 million in Q3 2024, with 90.7% from royalties, while profitability remained flat at $11.1 million. Despite a 97% franchise renewal rate and store growth, revenue impact is minimal, making current trading multiples unjustifiable. Seeking Alpha • Sep 17Winmark Corporation: Still Overvalued, And Still Expected To Decline In PriceSummary Winmark Corporation's shares are very expensive, both on an absolute basis and relative to similar specialty retailers, justifying a 'sell' rating. Despite modest growth in store count and royalty revenue, overall revenue and profitability metrics have largely stagnated or declined. The company's balance sheet is stable, but this does not offset the high valuation of its stock. A significant drop in share price, at least 50%, is needed to consider an upgrade from the current 'sell' rating. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
