NYSE notified Charah Solutions (NYSE:CHRA) that its total market capitalization and stockholders' equity are below its compliance criteria. A company would be considered below criteria by the NYSE if its total market capitalization is less than $50M over a 30- trading day period and its stockholders' equity is less than $50M. The company intends to respond to the NYSE within 45 days of January 13, 2022 with a business plan that is designed to demonstrate compliance with this listing standard within 18 months of receipt of this notice. The letter has no immediate impact on CHRA's ongoing business operations or its Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements.

Charah appoints new finance chief

Charah (NYSE:CHRA) appoints Jonathan Batarseh as CFO and Treasurer, effective October 17, 2022.  Mr. Batarseh, who will report to CEO and President Scott Sewell, is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, investor relations, information technology, fleet, and procurement initiatives. Charah Solutions (NYSE:CHRA) has been awarded an Ash Pond Closure project from a utility partner in southern Indiana scheduled to start in mid-October 2022. The project is expected to take ~two years to complete. The project includes dewatering, excavation, conditioning and loadout for offsite disposal of 366,000 cubic yards of ponded coal ash.

Charah Solutions (NYSE:CHRA) has won two remediation & compliance services contracts and one byproduct services contact from three Southeast U.S. utilities. The Ash Pond Excavation Project in Louisiana includes dewatering, excavation, hauling and disposal of ~400K tons of coal combustion residuals. The long-term Landfill Operations Project in Arkansas will include operational management and disposal of ~1.7M tons of fly ash, bottom ash and sda reactor ash. Charah Solutions' Ash Pond Management Services contract in Arkansas will include excavation of over 750K cubic yards of ponded coal combustion residuals and earthen material.

Charah Solutions (NYSE:CHRA) secures a multi-year contract from an Indiana regulated utility for the marketing and sustainable recycling of fly ash. The multi-year project will begin in Q3 2022. Under the terms of the contract, the company will be responsible for the utilization of ~150,000 tons per year of specification grade fly ash. The fly ash will be distributed through Charah Solutions' MultiSource materials network, a unique distribution system of nearly 40 nationwide locations, with international sourcing and distribution.  "Charah Solutions is nationally recognized in the power generation industry as a total solutions company, providing unparalleled service and innovation in a sustainable manner to meet the evolving and increasingly complex needs of our utility partners.
