Announces Discontinuance of In-House Production of ROVs and Plans Reduction of 200 Full-Time PositionsYamaha Motor Co., Ltd. had decided to implement structural reforms in its Outdoor Land Vehicle (OLV) business. As part of the structural reforms of its OLV business, the Company will discontinue in-house production of ROVs at Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America (YMMC) in Georgia, U.S.A. and transition to a collaborative business model premised on OEM supply through partner companies. This move is intended to improve the overall profitability of the OLV business by shifting the ROV business to a collaborative model and reallocating the management resources thereby created to the ATV and golf car businesses. The specific changes to the Company's business operating structure associated with these reforms are as follows: Workforce Optimization The Company will review its global workforce allocation to set up personnel and cost structures facilitating improved profitability and sustainable growth. Specifically, the Company plans to implement workforce adjustments totaling approximately 300 positions, including a reduction of approximately 200 full-time positions and optimizing temporary staffing. The Company will also optimize personnel allocation across its development, sales, and manufacturing departments. Production Efficiency Enhancement By utilizing the factory space and production capacity made available through the discontinuation of in-house ROV production, the Company will optimize production layouts, particularly for assembly and logistics for the golf car business. These measures will improve production efficiency, increase equipment utilization, and reduce future capital investment requirements. Procurement Optimization The Company will reduce material costs and improve procurement efficiency by reviewing its supplier portfolio, increasing parts commonality, and exploring joint procurement initiatives that leverage the scale of its procurement operations. The Company expects to record approximately JPY 12,000 million in one-time expenses in its Fiscal year 2026 business results in connection with these structural reforms. The main components of these expenses include costs accompanying workforce optimizations, additional sales promotion expenses associated with the ceasing of the in-house production model, inventory disposal and supplier-related costs, and impairment losses.공고 • Aug 05Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Revises Consolidated Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2026Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. revised consolidated earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. For the year, the company now expects revenue of ¥2,900,000 million, Operating profit of ¥260,000 million, Profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥170,000 million and Basic earnings per share of ¥175.16 per share against previous guidance of revenue of ¥2,700,000 million, Operating profit of ¥180,000 million, Profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥100,000 million and Basic earnings per share of ¥103.05 per share. Reasons for the Revision: Regarding the consolidated business results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026, both revenue and operating profit exceeded the original forecast due to an increase in unit sales in the motorcycle business--particularly in emerging markets--as well as the refund of the reciprocal tariffs in the U.S., the continued depreciation of the yen, and other factors. Regarding the forecast for consolidated business results for the full fiscal year ending December 31, 2026, although there will be impacts from rising raw material costs due to the situation in the Middle East and one-time expenses incurred from structural reforms to the OLV business, the Company expects revenue and profits to exceed the original forecast. This projection is based on the business results described above; the fact that the impact of additional U.S. tariffs for the year is expected to be less than initially anticipated; and the effects of the cost-cutting measures. After comprehensively considering the future outlook for the business environment and other factors, the consolidated business results for the full fiscal year ending December 31, 2026 will be revised as shown in the chart above. The above figures are based on the U.S. dollar trading at ¥159 for the fiscal year (a depreciation of ¥4 from the original forecast and a depreciation of ¥9 compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year) and the euro at ¥182 (a depreciation of ¥7 from the original forecast and a depreciation of ¥13 compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year).공고 • Jul 09Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. to Report Q2, 2026 Results on Aug 04, 2026Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced that they will report Q2, 2026 results on Aug 04, 2026공고 • Apr 15Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. to Report Q1, 2026 Results on May 15, 2026Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced that they will report Q1, 2026 results at 2:00 PM, Tokyo Standard Time on May 15, 2026공고 • Feb 13+ 4 more updatesYamaha Motor Co., Ltd., Annual General Meeting, Mar 25, 2026Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., Annual General Meeting, Mar 25, 2026.공고 • Feb 03+ 2 more updatesYamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Revises Consolidated Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2025Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. revised consolidated earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. For the year, the company now expects revenue of ¥2,530.0 billion, Operating income of ¥126.0 billion, Profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥16.5 billion and Basic earnings per share of ¥16.99 against previous guidance of revenue of ¥2,570.0 billion, Operating income of ¥120.0 billion, Profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥45.0 billion and Basic earnings per share of ¥46.34. Reasons for the Revision: Regarding the consolidated business results for the full fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, revenue and operating income are expected to be generally in line with the previously announced forecast. On the other hand, following a careful review of the recoverability of deferred tax assets and a reassessment of the amount of deferred tax assets to be reversed, the Company expects to record corporate tax adjustments (losses) of ¥19.8 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025 and ¥32.5 billion for the full fiscal year. As a result, net income attributable to owners of parent is expected to decrease compared with the previously announced forecast. The reversal of deferred tax assets is based on the increased costs incurred at the Company on a non-consolidated basis and at its U.S. subsidiary, Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. (YMUS), from additional U.S. tariffs and changes in the business environment. Accordingly, the Company has revised its forecast for consolidated business results for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. In addition, the Company is putting in motion initiatives to strengthen its business foundations, including launching a review of its earnings structure and efforts to enhance cost competitiveness, mainly at its U.S. operations. Through these measures, the Company aims to improve profitability over the medium to long term and achieve sustainable growth.공고 • Jan 20Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. to Report Fiscal Year 2025 Results on Feb 13, 2026Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced that they will report fiscal year 2025 results at 1:00 PM, Tokyo Standard Time on Feb 13, 2026공고 • Nov 13Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. 공고 • Aug 06Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. The main components of these expenses include costs accompanying workforce optimizations, additional sales promotion expenses associated with the ceasing of the in-house production model, inventory disposal and supplier-related costs, and impairment losses.
공고 • Aug 05Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. The above figures are based on the U.S. dollar trading at ¥159 for the fiscal year (a depreciation of ¥4 from the original forecast and a depreciation of ¥9 compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year) and the euro at ¥182 (a depreciation of ¥7 from the original forecast and a depreciation of ¥13 compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year).

공고 • Feb 03+ 2 more updatesYamaha Motor Co., Ltd. In addition, the Company is putting in motion initiatives to strengthen its business foundations, including launching a review of its earnings structure and efforts to enhance cost competitiveness, mainly at its U.S. operations. Through these measures, the Company aims to improve profitability over the medium to long term and achieve sustainable growth.
