This achievement marks a major step forward in Gelion's roadmap to delivering high-energy-density, low-cost sulfur-based batteries suitable for e-aviation, electric mobility, stationary storage, and other commercial applications. In this next phase of development, Gelion confirms that its proprietary cathode active material ("Gelion CAM") has crossed the Fourth Quarter threshold demonstrating stable cycling with the industry recognised Fourth Quarter areal capacity (~4 mAh/cm2) in coin cells, the industry standard platform for evaluating new battery materials. Achieving Fourth Quarter is widely regarded as a key milestone for high energy density sulfur cathodes. This demonstrates that Gelion CAM can be processed into thicker, high structural integrity electrodes which provide a critical step towards high energy density performance in large format pouch cells. This is a critical enabler for scaling sulfur-based technology toward commercial grade battery systems. Building on the successful technology transfer from the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPI) and the Gelion CAM scale-up announced in September 2025, recent electrode development work shows that Gelion's proprietary material can maintain mechanical stability and controlled porosity even at increased thickness. Achieving these properties is critical to reaching industrially relevant high-areal-capacity electrodes and represents an important benchmark for competitiveness with conventional lithium-ion technology. Historically, increasing sulfur loading in battery electrodes has been limited by rapid degradation of thicker electrodes. Gelion's results indicate that its CAM can overcome these limitations, supporting higher energy per square centimetre while maintaining electrode robustness, a key pathway toward smaller, lighter, and higher-energy battery cells. Achieved Fourth Quarter areal capacity is a core technical requirement for large-format Li-S and Na-S cells and directly supports Gelion's energy-density and cost objectives for next-generation sulfur-based batteries. Key Highlights: Fourth Quarter Achieved in Coin Cells: Gelion has successfully reached its Fourth Quarter areal-capacity target in coin-cell testing, the industry-recognised standard for evaluating advanced battery materials. Fourth Quarter is widely recognised as a critical milestone for practical high-energy-density sulfur cathodes. Clear Technical Progress Toward Pouch Cells: The coin-cell results provide strong evidence supporting the translation of Gelion's CAM into large-format pouch-cell electrodes capable of meeting Fourth Quarter performance targets. Improved Electrode Quality and Consistency: Recent work demonstrates enhanced uniformity, improved adhesion, and reproducible slurry rheology, all compatible with scale-up for larger-format electrodes. Building upon its recent collaboration with the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPI), announced in March 2025, Gelion has successfully integrated MPI's technology into sodium-sulfur coin cells, the industry standard battery testing platform. Initial tests have yielded exceptional results: Superior Power Capability: Maintaining robust capacity retention even under extreme charge /discharge rates, with six-minute charge and six-minute discharge cycles. Outstanding Longevity:Evidence to support MPI testing which achieved over 1,000 charge/discharge cycles with industry-standard capacity retention under one-hour charge and one-hour discharge cycles. Industrially relevant results:These tests represent a progression from laboratory material testing conditions to the industrially relevant coin cell development platform*. The transition from coin cells to larger format commercial cells is a well-established pathway. In this case, it is underpinned by the combined technology introduced by MPI and Gelion and will involve adapting this technology to standard large-format cell parameters and componentry. Advancements in Sulfur Battery Performance:Historically, the commercial adoption of sulfur batteries has been constrained by two key challenges: short cycle life, which has limited their potential use to niche markets, and low power output, making them unsuitable for applications in transportation and aerial drones. Gelion's test results address these prior challenges, paving the way for sulfur battery products to achieve a compelling product-market fit and route to commercial adoption. Enhanced Power Capability:Rapid charge and discharge capabilities are critical for applications in transportation and aerial drones. Again, Gelion's test results more than satisfy this requirement - a key selling point for modern electric vehicles, also supporting the high-power demands of rapid acceleration or drone take-offs and landings. Extended Cycle Life:A battery's cycle life denotes the number of charge and discharge cycles it can undergo without significant performance degradation. According to standards set by the United States Advanced Battery Consortium LLC (USABC), a cycle life exceeding 1,000 cycles is essential for transportation applications and equally critical for stationary energy storage. Current testing results are consistent with achieving this target.お知らせ • Mar 14Gelion plc to Report First Half, 2025 Results on Mar 19, 2025Gelion plc announced that they will report first half, 2025 results on Mar 19, 2025お知らせ • Feb 26Gelion plc Announces Successful Grant of Three LiS Patents in the U.SGelion announced the successful award of three patents in the United States in relation to the Group's core Lithium-Sulfur (LiS) technology and the acceptance of one of its recycling patent applications by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Building on the announcements made in March and April 2024, Gelion has now successfully developed 1 Ah semi-solid-state Li-S pouch cells with its GEN 3 cell technology. The Company's modelling from these 1 Ah GEN 3 cells predicts that a 10 Ah cell can be expected to deliver energy density greater than 400 Wh/kg. Gelion's GEN 3 technology uses a unique sulfur cathode material (fabricated using a unique, low energy process carried out at room temperature), water-based cathode processing (non-toxic), and a proprietary liquid electrolyte. The GEN 3 platform is based on a specially engineered formulation of commercially available materials in combination with abundant sulfur to demonstrate high energy density and operational temperature capability. Benefits of Gelion's GEN 3 over GEN 2 · Higher energy density -Energy density expected to be greater than 400 Wh/kg, when using a 10 Ah pouch cell. · Increased longevity/cycle life: GEN 3 employs new sulfur chemistry to increase stability, addressing the major degradation factors associated with conventional Li-S technology. · Increased sulfur utilisation:GEN 3 demonstrates the full theoretical capacity of sulfur, i.e. a much higher sulfur utilisation than found in conventional Li-S approaches. · Simplified supply chain:The innovative cathode combines specially engineered, but commercially available, materials with abundant sulfur that are produced using a low-energy, room-temperature process, eliminating the need for pre-processing, streamlining the battery production process and enabling localised manufacturing. Environmental and economic benefits:The water-based, atmospheric cathode production process eliminates the need for toxic solvents, leading to significant cost savings and enhanced manufacturability. GEN 3 uses the extensive network of Li-S technologies developed within Gelion and contained in the patents acquired from Johnson Matthey in March 2023. The GEN 3 semi-solid-state Li-S cell builds on the GEN 2 Li-S cell (developed by OXIS Energy) and addresses the key barriers to commercialisation faced by typical lithium-sulfur developers. Sulfur, being an abundant material, offers a future not limited by geographically concentrated and controlled battery metals. However, other lithium-sulfur developers often require the use of hard to obtain, rare or costly materials and have to rely on high-energy and time-consuming processes. Gelion's GEN 3 platform and production process circumvents these barriers. The GEN 3 cell is designed to tolerate higher operational temperatures by using Gelion's proprietary 'SulfurLock electrolyte' - which is free from temperature-sensitive additives typically found in Li-S batteries. Additionally, this electrolyte has been engineered to prevent sulfur redistribution during operation, increasing cycle life, addressing the primary cause of degradation in Li-S batteries. Gelion's cathode uses a proprietary sulfur active cathode material, fabricated using a unique, low energy process performed at room temperature. By using this process, Gelion can eliminate the need to pre-fabricate the cathode-active material. This has the potential to simplify the battery supply chain and make the production of sulfur batteries not only easier, but also more cost efficient than is the case for lithium-ion batteries, enhancing the manufacturing options geographically.お知らせ • Apr 04Gelion Announces Update on Its Next Generation Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) Battery DevelopmentGelion announced an update on its Next Generation Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) battery development. Gelion has achieved a high energy density milestone by fabricating a 395 Wh/kg lithium-sulfur 9.5 Ah pouch cell (commercial cell format). This result represents a c. 60% increase in the energy density (lower weight) compared with current lithium-ion batteries (approximately 250 Wh/kg). Further to the announcement on 19 March 2024, Gelion had produced 1.0 Ah cells using the OXIS Gen2 cell technology that achieved energy density of 245 Wh/kg. The achievement of 395 Wh/kg aligns with the independent energy density modelling projections for a larger cell format. Achievement of this milestone represents a key technology proof point for Gelion. By re-establishing this performance, building on the OXIS Gen 2 technology and IP acquired from Johnson Matthey. The Company has set a new benchmark against which to compare upcoming 'Next Generation' cell which targets further performance improvements upon this announced result. On 19 March 2024, Gelion identified that testing of Next Generation cell technology is exhibiting expected solid-to-solid conversion (see Glossary)behaviourtoward enhanced stability and longevity. will continue to progress these developments in addition to the silicon-sulfur cell technology in cooperation with Ionblox. Gelion's ambition for its next generation platform is to unlock the potential of sulfur batteries for a wide range of global applications including electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft, drones, electric vehicles (EV), and stationary energy storage (ESS), as high Wh/kg translates to lighter batteries and opens many advantages for these markets. Sulfur being an abundant material offers a future not limited by geographically concentrated and controlled battery metals which significantly improves battery lifecycle sustainability. In May 2023, Gelion updated on the progress made using the battery technology package acquired from Johnson Matthey (containing, in addition to its own IP, the Li-S IP and know-how from OXIS Energy). Gelion has worked over the past nine months to benchmark, improve on, and define a next generation approach to Li-S battery development. Li-S batteries are an advanced alternative to Li-ion batteries that can achieve much greater gravimetric energy densities (measured as amount of energy per battery weight). This is critical to drive down the weight in mobile applications such as EV's, e-aviation, and drones, reducing auxiliary component cost and lessening their upfront environmental impact. They do not contain rare metals in the cathode and can be scaled to meet the demands of global electrification. The technology shows promise to be safer (lower risk of fires) than current batteries.お知らせ • Mar 21Gelion plc to Report First Half, 2024 Results on Mar 27, 2024Gelion plc announced that they will report first half, 2024 results on Mar 27, 2024お知らせ • Feb 05Gelion plc Announces Board AppointmentsGelion plc announced the appointment of Dr. Louis Adriaenssens as Chief Technological Officer (CTO) of the company and Dr. Adrien Amigues as President of Gelion UK and Europe, with immediate effect. Strong early progress has been made on the anode side, with significantly improved zinc plating behaviour, achieving improved system behaviour (reducing and potentially eliminating the need to fully discharge the battery periodically for maintenance), however, the R&D Programme also identified potential safety concerns on the cathode side, arising from efficacy of the approach of sequestering bromine in the battery. Gelion continued R&D for the cathode, and it has now identified and is migrating to a zinc solution that avoids the potential safety concerns arising from sequestering bromine. Successful validation is expected to result in a technology with safety, energy density and cost ambitions achieved at the same time. Gelion expects to validate the potential of this technology over the next six months and report back in early 2024, keeping in line with the timelines communicated for the current R&D Programme. Management believes that this solution is highly desirable to Gelion's end market and will accelerate Gelion's ability to scale-up into commercial production. Lithium Sulfur: Management is encouraged by the progress being made toward realising the potential of intellectual property packages acquired from Johnson Matthey when combined with Gelion's existing technologies. Gelion therefore intends to increase the testing capacity of its research and development facilities in this regard by 50%. Based in Sydney, the site will have the capability to increase Gelion's prototyping toward cell development and is due to be operational in September 2023. Is GELN.F's price volatile compared to industry and market?GELN.F volatilityGELN.F Average Weekly Movementn/aElectrical Industry Average Movement12.8%Market Average Movement7.2%10% most volatile stocks in US Market16.6%10% least volatile stocks in US Market3.1%安定した株価: GELN.Fの株価は、 US市場と比較して過去 3 か月間で変動しています。 GELN.F 基礎統計学時価総額US$58.92m収益(TTM)-US$7.58m売上高(TTM)US$3.78m15.6xP/Sレシオ-7.8xPER(株価収益率GELN.F は割高か? これは、TTM(Trailing Twelve Month)またはLTM(Last Twelve Month)データとして知られています。 David Paul St. JohnsonAllenby Capital LimitedAdam ForsythLongspur Clean Energy

お知らせ • Dec 05Gelion plc Achieves Target Areal Capacity in Coin CellsGelion plc has achieved a major technical milestone in the development of its next-generation sulfur battery technology. Enabling Future High Energy Density Targets: This milestone strengthens Gelion's roadmap toward high-energy-density, high-cost sulfur-based batteries appropriate for e-aviation, Electric mobility, stationary storage, and Other commercial applications.

お知らせ • Apr 17+ 1 more updateGelion plc Achieves Breakthrough in Sulfur Battery Coin Cell ResultsGelion plc announced significant advancements in its Sulfur battery technology, achieving exceptional performance in high power and in cycling characteristics that supports its goals toward compelling commercial market propositions for drones, transportation, and grid and remote energy storage systems. Current testing results are consistent with achieving this target.

お知らせ • Aug 15Gelion Announces an Update on Its Next Generation Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) Battery DevelopmentGelion announces an update on its Next Generation ("GEN 3") Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) battery development. This has the potential to simplify the battery supply chain and make the production of sulfur batteries not only easier, but also more cost efficient than is the case for lithium-ion batteries, enhancing the manufacturing options geographically.
お知らせ • Apr 04Gelion Announces Update on Its Next Generation Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) Battery DevelopmentGelion announced an update on its Next Generation Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) battery development. The technology shows promise to be safer (lower risk of fires) than current batteries.

お知らせ • Jul 06Gelion plc Updates on the Strategic Evaluation of Its Zinc Battery Solution and on Advances Made on Its Lithium Sulfur TechnologyGelion plc provided an update on the strategic evaluation of its Zinc battery solution and on advances made on its Lithium Sulfur technology. The Company's match to market analysis to define the operational parameters of Gelion's zinc bromide ('ZnBr 2') battery highlighted the need to balance three key priorities - safety, energy density and cost and consistent with this, the 12-month ZnBr 2 research programme ("R&D Programme") was launched earlier this year.
