Cardiac MRI analyses demonstrated Deramiocel’s impact on cardiac structure in patients with DMD. Evaluation of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), a marker of myocardial fibrosis, showed a significant reduction in fibrotic segments in patients treated with Deramiocel versus placebo, corresponding to a three-segment treatment difference at 12 months (p=0.022). The presence of LGE reflects replacement of viable myocardium with fibrotic tissue and is associated with progressive cardiac dysfunction and heart failure risk in DMD cardiomyopathy. In patients with baseline cardiomyopathy, Deramiocel demonstrated an even greater treatment effect on cardiac function. In this subgroup, treatment resulted in a 3.3 percentage-point improvement in LVEF versus placebo, corresponding to greater than 100% attenuation of expected cardiac decline (p=0.017). A Global Statistical Test (GST), a patient-level composite including Performance of Upper Limb (PUL v2.0), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), and Patient Global Impression of Severity (PGI-S), demonstrated a statistically significant overall treatment benefit favoring Deramiocel (p=0.017). This composite integrates multiple clinically meaningful domains of disease, reflecting how patients feel and function. Additional functional outcomes evaluating hand-to-mouth activity, an important measure of patient independence, were also presented. Data from the Duchenne Video Assessment (DVA), a measure of activities of daily living in individuals with Duchenne, showed that the “eat 10 bites” task resulted in approximately 83% slowing of disease progression compared with placebo (p=0.018). These findings align with results from the mid-level (elbow) PUL v2.0 assessment (p=0.008), providing concordant evidence across both validated clinical and real-world functional measures. Key results from the study, include: CAP-1002 is an investigational cell therapy which aims to slow disease progression through immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic actions with the goal of potentially improving the rate of decline in skeletal and cardiac muscle function in patients with DMD. Skeletal muscle function as measured by the Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL v2.0) showed a mean PUL v2.0 decline after 24-months of treatment with CAP-1002 was 2.8 points versus a 7.7 point decline on average observed over 24-months in the placebo patient group. Delta change=4.9 points; p=0.021. The average rate of decline in CAP-1002 treated patients showed an attenuation of disease progression by approximately 64%. CAP-1002 revealed clinically meaningful improvements in ameliorating cardiac function. Cardiac function as measured by left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF%) by MRI at the 24-month timepoint, improved in 67% of patients, compared to a steady decline in a comparable natural history population. CAP-1002 treatment during the OLE portion of the study continues to yield a consistent favorable safety profile and has been well-tolerated throughout the study. The HOPE-2 OLE study previously met the primary endpoint at the one-year time-point and these 24-month results suggest that patients accumulate benefit over time with preservation of skeletal muscle function, which underscore the potential long-term benefit of CAP-1002. HOPE-2 was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase 2 clinical study of Capricor’s lead investigational therapy, CAP-1002, in boys and young men who have DMD. Study patients were treated via intravenous delivery with either CAP-1002 (150 million cells per infusion) or placebo every 3 months. Data from a total of 20 patients was analyzed (12 placebo and 8 treated) at the 12-month time-point. After the completion of the HOPE-2 study, all patients stopped treatment for approximately 392 days (mean, range [239, 567]), which is referred to as the gap phase. The data will be presented at the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) 2026 Annual Conference, taking place June 25-27, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, alongside previously reported results from the Company’s HOPE-3 Phase 3 trial. Among the patients who remain enrolled in the HOPE-2 OLE study (n=9), treatment with Deramiocel continued to attenuate disease progression over five years, as measured by Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL 2.0). Patients experienced a mean total-score decline of less than 5 points over five years. By comparison, a cohort-matched external comparator of standard-of-care DMD patients showed a modeled decline of roughly 2.4 points per year, which if continued would project to approximately 12 points over five years. A separately published natural-history analysis (Coratti, et al., J Neuromuscular Dis, 2025) reported a decline in non-ambulant patients of approximately 8.1 points over three years, consistent with a meaningful treatment benefit. Cardiac function, as measured by left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) on cardiac MRI, remained stable over the full five-year period, in contrast to the modeled decline of approximately 3.2% per year observed in a propensity-matched external cardiac comparator. Deramiocel continued to demonstrate a favorable safety profile throughout the study, consistent with over 800 intravenous infusions administered to date across the Deramiocel clinical development program. The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 106 patients with DMD and met its primary endpoint (PUL 2.0, p=0.03) and key secondary cardiac endpoint (LVEF, p=0.04), along with all other Type I error-controlled secondary endpoints – consistent with the durable skeletal and cardiac muscle benefit observed in the HOPE-2 OLE study. お知らせ • Jun 26Capricor Therapeutics Presents Positive Five-Year HOPE-2 Ole Data and HOPE-3 Phase 3 Results for Deramiocel in Duchenne Muscular DystrophyCapricor Therapeutics announced positive five-year data from its ongoing HOPE-2 Open-Label Extension (OLE) study of Deramiocel, the Company’s lead cell therapy candidate for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The data will be presented at the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) 2026 Annual Conference, taking place June 25-27, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, alongside previously reported results from the Company’s HOPE-3 Phase 3 trial. Among the patients who remain enrolled in the HOPE-2 OLE study (n=9), treatment with Deramiocel continued to attenuate disease progression over five years, as measured by Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL 2.0). Patients experienced a mean total-score decline of less than 5 points over five years. By comparison, a cohort-matched external comparator of standard-of-care DMD patients showed a modeled decline of roughly 2.4 points per year, which if continued would project to approximately 12 points over five years. A separately published natural-history analysis (Coratti, et al., J Neuromuscular Dis, 2025) reported a decline in non-ambulant patients of approximately 8.1 points over three years, consistent with a meaningful treatment benefit. Cardiac function, as measured by left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) on cardiac MRI, remained stable over the full five-year period, in contrast to the modeled decline of approximately 3.2% per year observed in a propensity-matched external cardiac comparator. Deramiocel continued to demonstrate a favorable safety profile throughout the study, consistent with over 800 intravenous infusions administered to date across the Deramiocel clinical development program. The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 106 patients with DMD and met its primary endpoint (PUL 2.0, p=0.03) and key secondary cardiac endpoint (LVEF, p=0.04), along with all other Type I error-controlled secondary endpoints – consistent with the durable skeletal and cardiac muscle benefit observed in the HOPE-2 OLE study. お知らせ • Mar 13Capricor Therapeutics Announces Late-Breaking HOPE-3 Data at the 2026 MDA Conference Demonstrating Significant Functional Benefits of Deramiocel for Duchenne Muscular DystrophyCapricor Therapeutics announced additional analyses and new functional outcomes data from the Phase 3 HOPE-3 clinical trial of Deramiocel in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), which were presented at the 2026 Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinical & Scientific Conference in Orlando, Florida. Cardiac MRI analyses demonstrated Deramiocel’s impact on cardiac structure in patients with DMD. Evaluation of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), a marker of myocardial fibrosis, showed a significant reduction in fibrotic segments in patients treated with Deramiocel versus placebo, corresponding to a three-segment treatment difference at 12 months (p=0.022). The presence of LGE reflects replacement of viable myocardium with fibrotic tissue and is associated with progressive cardiac dysfunction and heart failure risk in DMD cardiomyopathy. In patients with baseline cardiomyopathy, Deramiocel demonstrated an even greater treatment effect on cardiac function. In this subgroup, treatment resulted in a 3.3 percentage-point improvement in LVEF versus placebo, corresponding to greater than 100% attenuation of expected cardiac decline (p=0.017). A Global Statistical Test (GST), a patient-level composite including Performance of Upper Limb (PUL v2.0), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), and Patient Global Impression of Severity (PGI-S), demonstrated a statistically significant overall treatment benefit favoring Deramiocel (p=0.017). This composite integrates multiple clinically meaningful domains of disease, reflecting how patients feel and function. Additional functional outcomes evaluating hand-to-mouth activity, an important measure of patient independence, were also presented. Data from the Duchenne Video Assessment (DVA), a measure of activities of daily living in individuals with Duchenne, showed that the “eat 10 bites” task resulted in approximately 83% slowing of disease progression compared with placebo (p=0.018). These findings align with results from the mid-level (elbow) PUL v2.0 assessment (p=0.008), providing concordant evidence across both validated clinical and real-world functional measures. HOPE-3 is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating Deramiocel in boys and young men with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The study randomized 106 participants across 20 leading U.S. clinical sites. Participants received intravenous Deramiocel at 150 million cells per infusion or placebo every three months for a 12-month period. The average age of participants was approximately 15 years, and all were on a stable corticosteroid regimen throughout the study. Baseline demographics were well balanced between treatment arms, approximately 90 percent were receiving cardiac medications at baseline, and over 75 percent had a clinical diagnosis of cardiomyopathy. Deramiocel maintained a favorable safety and tolerability profile consistent with prior clinical experience. They expect that detailed HOPE-3 results will be submitted for presentation at a future scientific meeting and for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

The data provided an overview of both scale-up and scale-out electroporation strategies that can be integrated to achieve substantially larger yields of exogenously loaded engineered exosomes, which is a critical requirement for further clinical development. Key findings include: Engineered exosomes derived from 293F cells were successfully loaded with therapeutic siRNA and PMO cargo using optimized electroporation conditions. Both scale-up and scale- out strategies produced comparable loading efficiencies to standard small-volume electroporation. Integrating the two approaches enables manufacturing of significantly larger batches of therapeutic exosomes. The study, funded by the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Project NextGen, follows review and clearance of the Investigational New Drug (IND) application by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The trial is being conducted by an NIAID-funded network of clinical trial sites. Project NextGen is a federal initiative aimed at accelerating the development of next-generation vaccine platforms that provide broader and more durable protection against respiratory viruses and other infectious threats. The Phase 1 trial includes four dosing arms and is initially focused on the spike (S) protein of SARS-CoV-2. An additional arm of Capricor's StealthX multivalent vaccine incorporating the nucleocapsid (N) protein is planned, pending separate FDA clearance. The StealthX vaccine is a proprietary exosome-based platform developed internally by Capricor, using exosomes engineered to display either the spike or nucleocapsid proteins on their surface. Preclinical results published in Microbiology Spectrum demonstrated that StealthX elicited robust antibody production, potent neutralizing activity, a strong T-cell response and a favorable safety profile.

The lawsuit seeks to recover losses on behalf of Capricor investors who were adversely affected by alleged securities fraud between October 9, 2024 and July 10, 2025. According to the complaint, defendants provided investors with material information concerning Capricor's lead cell therapy candidate drug deramiocel for the treatment of cardiomyopathy associated withuchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Participants' statements included, among other things, Capricor's ability to obtain a Biologics License Application (BLA) for deramiocel from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Defendants provided these overwhelmingly positive statements to investors while, at the same time, disseminating false and misleading statements and/or concealing material adverse facts concerning its four-year safety and efficacy data from its Phase 2 HOPE-2 trial study of deramiocel. On July 11, 2025, Capricor issued a press release announcing it received a Complete Response Letter (CRL) from the FDA denying the BLA specifically citing it did not meet the statutory requirement for substantial evidence of effectiveness and the need for additional clinical data. Further, the CRL referenced outstanding items in the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls section of the application.

In the CRL, the FDA stated that it had completed its review of the application but is unable to approve the BLA in its current form, specifically citing that the BLA does not meet the statutory requirement for substantial evidence of effectiveness and the need for additional clinical data. The CRL also referenced certain outstanding items in the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) section of the application, most of which Capricor believes it has addressed in prior communications to the FDA. However, these materials were not reviewed by the FDA due to the timing of the CRL issuance. The FDA confirmed that it will restart the review clock upon resubmission. In addition, the agency offered the company the opportunity to request a Type A meeting to discuss the path forward. Capricor plans to engage further with the FDA to determine the appropriate next steps. Capricor's BLA for Deramiocel was granted Priority Review in March 2025 and was supported by data from the HOPE-2 trial, its open-label extension (OLE), and natural history comparisons from FDA-funded datasets.

As part of the FDA's ongoing review, the Company has been informed that an Advisory Committee meeting is not indicated at this time. The BLA remains under Priority Review with a Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) target action date of August 31, 2025. Capricor recently presented four-year data from its HOPE-2 Open-Label Extension (OLE) study at the 2025 Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) Conference, representing one of the longest-running treatment datasets in DMD, including measures of both cardiac and skeletal muscle function. The data demonstrated continued preservation of cardiac function, along with sustained clinical benefit from long-term Deramiocel treatment. CDCs act by secreting extracellular vesicles known as exosomes, which target macrophages and alter their expression profile to adopt a healing, rather than a pro-inflammatory phenotype. Announces Positive Data Demonstrating Long-Term Efficacy of Deramiocel for the Treatment of Duchenne Muscular DystrophyCapricor Therapeutics, Inc. announced positive long-term data from its ongoing HOPE-2 open label extension (“OLE”) clinical trial, demonstrating the potential of the Company’s lead asset, deramiocel, to slow disease progression and preserve upper limb function in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (“DMD”). The data is presented as a late breaking poster at this year’s Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinical and Scientific Conference, which began on March 16 and runs through March 19 in Dallas, Texas. In a cohort-matched external comparator analysis, the study showed that patients treated with deramiocel over three years experienced an average decline in Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL 2.0) total score of 3.46 points, compared to a 7.19-point decline in the external comparator group (p=0.019). This equates to a 52% slowing of disease progression, reinforcing deramiocel’s potential long-term therapeutic durability. Additional findings include: Treatment effect increases year over year – Patients on deramiocel showed a reduction in disease progression, with a mean annual PUL 2.0 decline of 1.8 points in Year 1, 1.2 points in Year 2 and 1.1 points in Year 3. Potential disease-modifying effects – During a 1-year gap of treatment, those originally randomized to deramiocel showed a slower rate of decline (2.8 points per year) compared to untreated patients (3.7 points per year). Favorable safety profile – Deramiocel was well tolerated with no new safety signals identified and continues to maintain a favorable long-term benefit-risk profile. Capricor recently announced the acceptance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) of its Biologics License Application (“BLA”) for the cardiomyopathy associated with DMD with a Prescription Drug User Fee Act (“PDUFA”) target action date set for August 31, 2025, seeking full approval of its application.

The data was highlighted in a late-breaking poster presentation at the 29th Annual Congress of the World Muscle Society (WMS), October 8-12, 2024 in Prague, Czechia. The 3-year data from the HOPE-2 OLE study demonstrated improvements in multiple cardiac measures of cardiac function, including left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF%), as well as indexed volumes, which are considered highly relevant in terms of predicting long-term cardiac outcomes. In addition, there was clear bifurcation in the treatment effect seen in those that had ejection fractions greater than 45% at the end of HOPE-2 which suggests that early and sustained intervention will be key in attenuating the impacts of DMD cardiomyopathy. In order to evaluate the relevance of the data to disease progression as well as the chronic and progressive nature of DMD where cardiac function can decline year over year, a natural history data set was used to compare the trajectory of those treated with deramiocel to standard of care. In addition to the cardiac data, patients demonstrated a statistically and clinically relevant benefit (+3.7 points, p< 0.001) in the PUL v2.0 total score when compared to an external comparator dataset of similar DMD patients. The HOPE-2 OLE study continues to show a favorable safety profile for long-term treatment of deramiocel. In conclusion, the results of this study showed sustained cardiac and skeletal benefits after 3 years of continuous treatment with deramiocel. This data was previously highlighted at the PPMD Annual Meeting in June 2024.

Data from the HOPE-2 OLE study demonstrated improvements in multiple cardiac measures, including left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), as well as indexed volumes (left ventricular end systolic volume (LVESV) and left ventricular end diastolic volume (LVEDV)). These are measures of cardiac function and are considered highly relevant in terms of predicting long-term outcomes. In addition, greater improvements in cardiac function were observed in those patients that had higher ejection fractions (> 45%) at the beginning of the HOPE-2 randomized trial. Published data supports the need for early intervention in order to maintain function and potentially slow the progression of the cardiomyopathy, one of the leading causes of death in patients with DMD. Currently, there is no approved treatment specifically for DMD cardiomyopathy, which underscores the need for additional therapies to treat DMD. Additionally, as previously reported, patients showed a statistically significant benefit (+3.7 points, p< 0.001) in the PUL v2.0 total score when compared to an external comparator dataset of similar DMD patients. The HOPE-2 OLE study continues to show a favorable safety profile for long-term treatment of deramiocel. The HOPE-2-OLE study remains ongoing and into its fourth year and participants continue to be monitored for safety, cardiac and functional performance. Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating genetic disorder characterized by progressive weakness and chronic inflammation of the skeletal, heart and respiratory muscles with mortality at a median age of approximately 30 years. It is estimated that DMD occurs in approximately one in every 3,500 male births and that the patient population is estimated to be approximately 15,000-20,000 in the United States. DMD pathophysiology is driven by the impaired production of functional dystrophin, which normally functions as a structural protein in muscle. The reduction of functional dystrophin in muscle cells leads to significant cell damage and ultimately causes muscle cell death and fibrotic replacement. Treatment options are limited and there is no cure.

Key results from the study, include: CAP-1002 is an investigational cell therapy which aims to slow disease progression through immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic actions with the goal of potentially improving the rate of decline in skeletal and cardiac muscle function in patients with DMD. Skeletal muscle function as measured by the Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL v2.0) showed a mean PUL v2.0 decline after 24-months of treatment with CAP-1002 was 2.8 points versus a 7.7 point decline on average observed over 24-months in the placebo patient group. Delta change=4.9 points; p=0.021. The average rate of decline in CAP-1002 treated patients showed an attenuation of disease progression by approximately 64%. CAP-1002 revealed clinically meaningful improvements in ameliorating cardiac function. Cardiac function as measured by left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF%) by MRI at the 24-month timepoint, improved in 67% of patients, compared to a steady decline in a comparable natural history population. CAP-1002 treatment during the OLE portion of the study continues to yield a consistent favorable safety profile and has been well-tolerated throughout the study. The HOPE-2 OLE study previously met the primary endpoint at the one-year time-point and these 24-month results suggest that patients accumulate benefit over time with preservation of skeletal muscle function, which underscore the potential long-term benefit of CAP-1002. Dr. Gotwals has experience in drug development, research, corporate strategy and business development with a career spanning nearly 30 years in the biotechnology industry. Dr. Gotwals most recently served as the Global Head, Vice President of Business Development and Licensing at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) where he oversaw business development efforts for all disease areas and technology platforms. Under Dr. Gotwals’ leadership, NIBR business development and licensing executed over 50 major strategic transactions which included licensing deals, collaborations, acquisitions and new company creations. These transactions led to significant corporate evolution and growth. During his 13 years at Novartis, Dr. Gotwals was instrumental in building the company’s immuno-oncology strategic research area and spearheading the collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania to develop chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies. Prior to Novartis, he was Vice President of Program Management at Altus Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for all product development project management activities. Prior to Altus, he was Senior Director of Program and Alliance Management at Biogen, where he oversaw leadership of internal and allied early product development teams in the autoimmune, neurology and oncology therapeutic areas. Dr. Gotwals has a B.A. in Biology from Amherst College, holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of California at Berkeley, completed postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, business training at Harvard Business School and has published extensively in the area of integrin biology.

The Initial Grant will vest with respect to 25% of such shares of common stock on the first anniversary of the first day of the month following the date of grant of the Initial Grant, and the Initial Grant will vest with respect to 1/36 of such shares of common stock each month thereafter. Dr. Auwaerter will also enter into the Company’s standard form of indemnification agreement for directors. Dr. Auwaerter has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and has been awarded the national Distinguished Eagle Scout award. お知らせ • Jul 01Capricor Therapeutics Announces Positive 24-Month Results from Ongoing HOPE-2 Open Label Extension Study of CAP-1002 in Duchenne Muscular DystrophyCapricor Therapeutics announced positive 24-month safety and efficacy results from its ongoing HOPE-2 open label extension (OLE) study with its lead asset, CAP-1002, for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Data from the OLE study demonstrated that the majority of patients had an improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), after two years of CAP-1002 treatment, which suggests preservation of cardiac function. Additionally, patients continue to show statistically significant benefit (p=0.021) after two years of treatment in the Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL v2.0) scale when compared to the original rate of decline of the placebo group from HOPE-2 after one year. Furthermore, the OLE study continues to show a favorable safety profile for long-term treatment of CAP-1002. The HOPE-2-OLE study previously met its primary endpoint at the one-year timepoint on the PUL v2.0 scale (p=0.02). At the 24-month timepoint, data showed statistically significant differences in the PUL v2.0 in the OLE treatment group when compared to the original rate of decline of the placebo group from HOPE-2 after one-year (p=0.021). LVEF was measured using cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (cMRI) and six of nine patients showed improvements in heart function with CAP-1002 treatment compared to their final assessment at the end of the HOPE-2 study. Over time, there was an increasing correlation with PUL v2.0 and ejection fraction results (24-month OLE results r=0.75, p=0.02). HOPE-2 was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase 2 clinical study of Capricor’s lead investigational therapy, CAP-1002, in boys and young men who have DMD. Study patients were treated via intravenous delivery with either CAP-1002 (150 million cells per infusion) or placebo every 3 months. Data from a total of 20 patients was analyzed (12 placebo and 8 treated) at the 12-month time-point and the results were published in The Lancet. After the completion of the HOPE-2 study, all patients stopped treatment for approximately 392 days (mean, range [239, 567]), which is referred to as the gap phase. Then all eligible patients who wished to remain on treatment re-entered the OLE study where they received CAP-1002 (150 million cells per infusion) every three months over the course of 24 months. Patients continued through the gap phase (off treatment for both groups) and the OLE phase (on treatment for both groups).

HOPE-3, the Company's Phase 3 clinical trial of CAP-1002 is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study (NCT05126758) which is designed to treat up to 68 subjects in the United States. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a devastating genetic disorder characterized by progressive weakness and chronic inflammation of the skeletal, heart and respiratory muscles. CAP-1002 consists of allogeneic cardiosphere-derived cells (CDCs), a type of progenitor cell that has been shown in pre-clinical and clinical studies to exert potent immunomodulatory activity and is being investigated for its potential to modify the immune system's activity to encourage cellular regeneration. CDCs have been the subject of over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications and have been administered to over 200 human subjects across several clinical trials.

Data from the OLE study continues to show evidence for disease modification with statistically significant differences in the Performance of the Upper Limb (PUL version 2.0) scale in the CAP-1002 original treatment group when compared to the original placebo group from HOPE-2 (p=0.02). In addition, disease progression is attenuated equally in both groups once patients begin treatment in the OLE. The study met its primary endpoint at the one-year timepoint and continues to show statistically significant improvements (p=0.02) on the Performance of the Upper Limb scale for patients treated with CAP-1002 at 18-months. In the study, CAP-1002 was made available to the original 20 patients enrolled in the HOPE-2 study. Of those, 13 entered and 12 completed 18-months of study follow-up. The breakdown of patients included seven from the original placebo group and six from the original CAP-1002 treatment group. All patients were off CAP-1002 or placebo for a mean of approximately one-year before resumption or initiation of therapy under the HOPE-2 OLE program. As in HOPE-2, CAP-1002 was administered quarterly and current results are from the 18-month analysis. CAP-1002 treatment during the open-label portion of the study continues to yield a consistent safety profile and has been well-tolerated throughout the study. The HOPE-2 OLE study is ongoing, and all participants continue to be monitored for safety and functional performance. The company is currently conducting a pivotal Phase 3 trial, HOPE-3, designed as a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study with approximately 70 patients and enrollment criteria similar to HOPE-2. The Phase 3 study is currently enrolling subjects (NCT05126758).
