Key goals of the FEED study include: Define technical scope and requirements of the commercial surface facility, Identify and mitigate all project risks, Establish accurate and high confidence cost estimates for both Capital (CAPEX) and Operating (OPEX) costs, Optimize project schedule, Provide foundation for advancing project through further feasibility studies. The updated study represents a significant step in advancing the Company's Viewfield Project toward a more defined feasibility study for scalable commercial production. The work completed through this phase will serve as the technical and engineering foundation for subsequent definitive project and economic studies as the Company continues to systematically de-risk the project. The FEED study will incorporate and be validated in parallel by operating data generated from the Company's Project Aurora Demonstration Plant. The integration of real-world performance data from the direct wellhead connected demo plant is expected to optimize process design, confirm core engineering criteria, and enhance overall project confidence. The updated FEED study is expected to provide greater clarity and definition around capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operating costs (OPEX) for the Company's first commercial facility. By refining engineering parameters and incorporating operational learnings, the Company aims to strengthen cost accuracy and improve project planning.お知らせ • Mar 03EMP Metals Corp and Saltworks Technologies Receive $1 Million Funding from Government of British Columbia Integrated Marketplace ProgramEMP Metals Corp. and the Company's Project Aurora partner, Saltworks Technologies Inc., have announced the award of $1 million in funding through the Government of British Columbia's Integrated Marketplace (IM) program, delivered by Innovate BC, as part of its recently announced Mining & Critical Minerals Testbed. EMP Metals Corp. is the project proponent under the IM framework, with Saltworks participating in the project as the partnering BC–based solutions provider. Saltworks is completing the design and fabrication of the technology in BC, which will be dispatched to EMP Metal's live lithium well in Saskatchewan. The IM project scope includes the design, fabrication, and operation of a Generation-II lithium refining demonstration system, along with testing, performance data generation, and market assessment. The project is positioned as a mining and critical minerals testbed, intended to validate advanced processing technologies under real operating conditions and support pathways toward commercial deployment.お知らせ • Feb 06Emp Metals Corp. Commences Re-Entry Operations on Brackish Water WellEMP Metals Corp. reported that the service rig to be used for the re-entry of the existing brackish water well 5-23-7-9W2 (the "Well") has arrived on location and commenced re-entry operations. The work program includes isolating an upper section of the existing wellbore, perforating the targeting brackish water interval, and swabbing the well at maximum swabbing rates to obtain water samples and establish a sustained fluid level. Re-entry operations and testing are expected to take approximately 10 days to complete. Once the service rig re-entry operations are completed, the Company will begin planning the integration of the brackish water source into the Project Aurora Demonstration Plant. The existing Well is in close proximity to the Project Aurora Demonstration Plant site and testing is an important and cost-effective step in identifying additional, low salinity, brackish water sources for continued advancement towards commercial production scale up. The Project Aurora Demonstration Plant will establish, test, and optimize a wellhead connected, continuous flow, modular Hub and Spoke lithium extraction and refining model. The on-site program aims to unlock performance improvements and cost savings while de-risking future investments. Project Aurora, a joint initiative between EMP Metals and Saltworks Technologies Inc. ("Saltworks"), is aimed at driving down costs, simplification, and leveraging the best available and most economic and innovative technology. As part of the collaborative's launch, Saltworks will advance full-scale plant design and cost estimates for a 3,000+ tonne per year modular, repeatable, commercial refinery for EMP Metals utilizing data and insights from the demo plant project.お知らせ • Jan 29EMP Metals Corp. Submits Permit for Drilling of Brackish Water WellEMP Metals Corp. announced that it has submitted the necessary permit applications to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources for the re-entry and testing of a brackish water well. The ground water testing permit has already been approved and received from the Water Security Agency. The brackish water test well is located in close proximity to the 4-23 Project Aurora Demonstration Plant site in the Viewfield area of southeastern Saskatchewan. Testing the existing well is an important and cost-effective step in identifying additional, low salinity, brackish water sources for continued advancement towards commercial production scale up. The well will also be a source of brackish water that will be converted to process water for the Project Aurora Demo Plant. The Company anticipates receiving the permits in the near future and further updates will be provided as approval is obtained.お知らせ • Jan 26EMP Metals Corp. Advances Construction of Project Aurora Demonstration Plant by Completion of Project Aurora Demonstration PlantEMP Metals Corp. announced the successful completion of the building interior that will house its upcoming lithium refining demonstration plant. The building structure is now complete, insulated, and metal-cladded on the exterior and interior. Lighting and facility cable runs are currently being installed as per General Arrangement Drawings (GAD's) in preparation for the arrival of process equipment and build-out of other functional areas of the facility. Process equipment build continues to progress at Saltworks Technologies Inc. in Richmond, BC, with pre-commissioning beginning on completed skids. The build of the Gen-II Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) system for Project Aurora, as previously described by Saltworks, is also progressing on schedule. The Company will provide further updates as progress continues and major milestones are achieved. The Project Aurora demo plant will establish, test, and optimize a wellhead connected, continuous flow, modular Hub and Spoke lithium extraction and refining model.
