Icahn Increases Stake in CVR Partners as Quarterly Distribution Surges 80% Carl C. Icahn has reiterated a bullish stance on CVR Partners, LP, keeping the stock as a consistent holding and increasing the fund’s stake through 2024 and 2025.
Interest in CVR Partners has been supported by tighter global nitrogen fertilizer supplies linked to disruptions in the Middle East and export chokepoints.
The partnership recently declared a quarterly cash distribution that is nearly 80% higher than the payout a year earlier.
Icahn’s ongoing commitment and increased exposure signal continued confidence in CVR Partners’ position as a domestic nitrogen fertilizer producer at a time when global supply remains constrained.
The sharply higher distribution highlights the partnership’s current cash return to unitholders. However, income-focused investors should keep in mind that such distributions can fluctuate with fertilizer pricing, operating performance and capital needs. Reported Earnings • May 05
