CarMax: Turnaround Potential Worth Watching

Summary CarMax, Inc.'s earnings have dropped in the past three quarters. Weak industry conditions continue to weigh on margins and sales volume. I estimate 30% base scenario upside to $48.6. For now, I believe that investors should still practice caution. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
Narrative Update May 18

KMX: Starboard Turnaround Push And New CEO Will Support Re Rating Potential

Analysts collectively see a slightly higher long term value for CarMax stock, with the average price target moving up about $2 as updated models factor in modestly higher fair value and profit margin assumptions, partly offset by softer revenue growth expectations and a slightly higher discount rate and future P/E. Analyst Commentary Recent Street research on CarMax has been mixed, but the pricing and rating changes skew modestly constructive, with several firms adjusting models and price targets to reflect updated views on execution, profitability and long term positioning.
