Arqit Quantum (NASDAQ:ARQQ) stock fell as much as 12.4% on Friday ahead of the Sept. 3 deadline for expiration of voluntary lock-up deals by shareholders holding ~105.9M shares. Of the shares subject to lock-up deals, 61.3M shares are held by ARQQ officers, directors and employees. These are subject to black out period restrictions and can't be traded till after ARQQ reports results for the year ending Sept. 30. 19.5M shares are held by two institutional investors, each of which have a representative on ARQQ's board, and 16.8M shares are held by three institutional investors that were early investors in the company. The remaining 8.3M shares are held by four individuals.

Quite a bit of CAPEX down the line with satellite launches, but they have started billing. Arqit is a real end of the world hedge, where quantum hacking as a threat means symmetric key creation for all data transfer will be necessary. Early adopters include a range of high-profile institutions with heavy data loads and protection needs. Currently Arqit's protocol works using terrestrial infrastructure, but soon it will use satellites. While we locked profits at 2x when it de-SPACed, the company remains a very unique tech exposure.

Arqit Quantum: Massive Return Potential By Future Proofing Cybersecurity

Arqit Quantum appears to have a very unique and highly effective solution to quantum hacking, which has terrorized cybersecurity professionals' dreams for years. Services are available now and producing revenue, but will be scaled tremendously in 2023 with the launch of 2 quantum satellites. The SPAC deal has provided Arqit with all of the cash that it needs going forward with the CEO stating that they will not need to raise funds, ever. I have taken a moderately sized speculative position here and will look to add upon weakness to this unique and potentially game-changing company.
