New minor risk - Insider selling There has been significant insider selling in the company's shares over the past 3 months. Total value of shares sold: €882k This is considered a minor risk. There are several reasons why an insider may be selling, including to cover a tax obligation or pay for some other expense. However, we generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they do so below the current price. It implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. This is a weak signal, but if there is a pattern of unexplained selling, it can be a sign the insider believes the company's stock is overpriced. Note: We only include open market transactions and private dispositions of directly owned stock by individuals, not by corporations or trusts. Currently, the following risks have been identified for the company: Minor Risks Share price has been volatile over the past 3 months (8.9% average weekly change). Shareholders have been diluted in the past year (2.1% increase in shares outstanding). Significant insider selling over the past 3 months (€882k sold). New Risk • Nov 08
New minor risk - Shareholder dilution The company's shareholders have been diluted in the past year. Increase in shares outstanding: 2.1% This is considered a minor risk. Shareholder dilution occurs when there is an increase in the number of shares on issue that is not proportionally distributed between all shareholders. Often due to the company raising equity capital or some options being converted into stock. All else being equal, if there are more shares outstanding then each existing share will be entitled to a lower proportion of the company's total earnings, thus reducing earnings per share (EPS). While dilution might not always result in lower EPS (like if the company is using the capital to fund an EPS accretive acquisition) in a lot cases it does, along with lower dividends per share and less voting power at shareholder meetings. Currently, the following risks have been identified for the company: Minor Risks Share price has been volatile over the past 3 months (8.5% average weekly change). Shareholders have been diluted in the past year (2.1% increase in shares outstanding). Reported Earnings • Nov 08

Coherent Corp. Announces L-Band 800G ZR/ZR+ Pluggable Transceivers Coherent Corp. announced the industry’s first L-band 800 Gbps coherent pluggable transceiver in a QSFP-DD form factor. This innovative product will be showcased at ECOC 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany, Sept. 23-25, 2024. Hyperscale data centers and telecom carriers require solutions to expand fiber capacity at lower costs. By expanding from C-band to L-band, fiber capacity can double from 32 Tbps to 64 Tbps. Historically, L-band has been supported with proprietary systems from network equipment manufacturers. The new standardized 800G ZR/ZR+ pluggable module from Coherent now allows disaggregation, supporting an open ecosystem in a smaller and more efficient form factor. With the availability of L-band 800G ZR/ZR+ transceivers in both QSFP-DD and OSFP form factors, Coherent enhances the capacity and performance coverage of IP-over-DWDM (dense wavelength division multiplexing) applications. These modules enable coherent interfaces directly on routers and switches, eliminating the need for additional optical equipment, thus reducing costs by more than 400%. The 800G ZR/ZR+ transceiver leverages the Coherent L-band 140 Gbaud IC-TROSA-integrated coherent optical subassembly, which features a high-efficiency, internally designed and manufactured indium phosphide modulator and receiver combined with an embedded wavelength-tunable laser. This delivers compelling cost, power, size, and performance advantages compared with L-band implementations based on silicon photonics, which need micro-EDFAs, adding cost and power dissipation and consuming precious real estate in compact form factors such as QSFP-DD. Coherent will demonstrate the 800G L-band transceiver module in a PTX10002-36QDD Juniper router at ECOC 2024, showcasing the transceiver’s capabilities in an IP-over-DWDM configuration. The module is designed for various line modulation formats and supports 800 Gbps extended-reach, 600 Gbps, and 400 Gbps long-reach applications. Customer sampling will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. Tillkännagivande • Aug 28

Designed to operate in the O-band (1310 nm region), the Coherent CW InP lasers redefine the capabilities of silicon photonics modulators used in 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers. These transceivers are on the forward edge of data transmission technology, crucially addressing the explosive bandwidth demands brought on by the rapid adoption of machine learning networks within AI-driven data centers. Unparalleled Power Efficiency for a New Era of Connectivity: Featuring a proprietary low series-resistance design, the Coherent CW lasers achieve approximately 15% greater power efficiency compared with the current industry standard. This breakthrough addresses the critical demand for reduced power consumption in silicon photonics transceivers, providing customers with a clear edge in operational efficiency. A New Standard in Laser Technology: The first offering in this revolutionary laser family is a 70 mW 1310 nm laser, designed for uncooled, non-hermetic operation up to an impressive 85°C junction temperature. Commercial shipments of this laser begin in September 2024. Coherent will release a higher-power laser for cooled operations, along with lasers tailored for the CWDM grid, in 2025. These lasers are not just efficient, they are robust. They offer exceptional reliability, due to the elimination of aluminum in the active quantum-well region. Reported Earnings • Aug 16

Coherent Corp. Announces Launch of its Next-Generation High-Power Laser Sensor Coherent Corp. announced the launch of its next-generation high-power laser sensor designed to support the expanding high-power applications market and reduce measurement times by up to 500%. The new Coherent PM10K+ laser power sensor can measure the power output of CW lasers up to 10 kW (12 kW intermittent) in less than 3 seconds. This sensor features a large 65 mm x 65 mm active area (6.5 in²) to prevent clipping of large beam sizes and includes a laser interlock function that terminates the laser during measurement to protect the sensor from damage. It is ideally suited for high-power CO2, fiber, and diode lasers used in industrial applications such as cutting, welding, brazing, drilling, cladding, ablation, and heat treating. Designed from the ground up for high-power laser measurement, the PM10K+ sensor incorporates key innovations for exceptional performance. Coherent, a leader in thermal management technology, developed a novel heat sink design and integrated it with high-performance components, including advanced temperature sensors. This hardware is complemented by proprietary algorithms for thermal modeling, fluid dynamics, and data acquisition and processing, making the PM10K+ the fast kW-class calorimeter-based power sensor available. The PM10K+ sensor is available in two interface formats: a USB interface for direct connection to desktop or laptop computers, and a DB25 cable compatible with the extensive range of Coherent power and energy meters, including the recently launched Coherent LabMax Touch power meters. A second model features RS-232 for seamless integration with OEM industrial control systems.
