Short interest in Palantir dropped by nearly 19% in the last cycle. Palantir saw one of the highest short unwinding amongst its peer group. Palantir stock seems to be forming a bottom, and it may not have much downside potential from current levels.
Palantir: Much Ado About Nothing
In this article, we'll see how Palantir stands to be affected by rising interest rates from a financial standpoint. Although the macroeconomic outlook is gloomy, Palantir's revenue growth may continue on in the foreseeable future at least. The stock is trading at attractive valuations when compared to 90 other software infrastructure stocks.
Palantir's Hype Train Crashed - The Bears Could Have Been Right After All
Since our last bullish articles, we believe it is time for us to take a step back and understand the market dynamics, especially for PLTR stock. Given its "meme stock status," lack of GAAP profitability, historical SBC, the PLTR stock had been bashed often times by its own investors. Given the softer FQ2'22 guidance and potential recession affecting commercial growth, PLTR stock could further retrace to new lows. That would prove the bears right and the old bullish me wrong. Only time will tell.
Palantir: Smashing SBC Myths
Palantir stock is perplexing because it has strong revenue growth and strong cash flows, but also a lot of stock-based compensation (SBC). Its operating cash flow has been positive for over a year but GAAP earnings are always negative due to SBC and other non-cash costs. In this article, I unravel the mystery surrounding Palantir's stock-based compensation and other employee benefits. Ultimately, I conclude that the stock is a 'hold' because its non-cash costs offset its cash flows significantly.
