EVO Payments Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent sale by Darren Wilson is the biggest insider sale of EVO Payments shares that we've seen in the last year. That means that an insider was selling shares at below the current price (US$27.99). We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. Please do note, however, that sellers may have a variety of reasons for selling, so we don't know for sure what they think of the stock price. We note that the biggest single sale was only 25%of Darren Wilson's holding.

In the last twelve months insiders purchased 18.68k shares for US$352k. But insiders sold 37.65k shares worth US$984k. In total, EVO Payments insiders sold more than they bought over the last year. Insider Ownership

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. It appears that EVO Payments insiders own 0.6% of the company, worth about US$13m. We've certainly seen higher levels of insider ownership elsewhere, but these holdings are enough to suggest alignment between insiders and the other shareholders.
