WISeKey International (NASDAQ:WKEY) stock gained 15.3% before the bell on Thursday as the firm partnered with the Swiss Armed Forces in the space domain. The partnership aims to explore new capacities in data security, interconnection of objects or communication links based on a constellation of small low-orbit satellites (WISeSAT/Fossa Low-Orbit PicoSatellites technology). WKEY has been working with aerospace firm FOSSA Systems to build WISeSaT.satellite, a security-IoT hardened FOSSASAT-2E satellite designed to reduce satellite costs. Shares of WKEY have fallen ~82% YTD.

WISeKey stock surges as revenue grows for fourth consecutive quarter

WISeKey (NASDAQ:WKEY) shares surged 18% premarket on Thursday after the Swiss cybersecurity firm reported prelim results for the nine month period ended Sep 30, 2022. Revenue grew 69% Y/Y to $20.5M in the nine months, with third quarter accounting for $7.9M (+44% Y/Y) of the revenue vs consensus estimate of $5.93M. WISeKey's Founder and CEO Carlos Moreira noted, "This is the fourth consecutive quarter we are reporting a growth in revenue. Despite the complexity of navigating the post-Covid-related and macro-economic challenges, 2022 so far it has been a year of hope and optimism as a recovery on the supply chain semiconductors business has started to take shape." The company ended the period with a backlog of $37M for IoT Semiconductors products stretching into 2024, and a pipeline of opportunities totaling $100M. As of Oct 1, 2022, it held $20M cash to support investments in new products, IP, and faster growing IoT/cybersecurity markets.

NIST picks WISeKey as collaborator for the NCCoE trusted IoT network-layer onboarding project

WISeKey International Holding (NASDAQ:WKEY) has been selected as a collaborator by NIST for the NCCoE Trusted IoT Device Network-Layer Onboarding and Lifecycle Management Consortium project. For the project, WISeKey is working with NIST to aid in the implementation and use of trusted onboarding solutions for IoT devices at scale. The WISeKey contributions to the project will be Trust Services for credentials and secure semiconductors to keep the credential secure. Specifically, WISeKey will offer INeS Certificate Management Service for issuing credentials and VaultIC secure semiconductors to provide tamperproof key storage and cryptographic acceleration.
