Vertu Motors plc (AIM:VTU) commences share repurchases on October 22, 2024, under the program mandated by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting held on June 25, 2024. As per the mandate, the company is authorized to repurchase up to 30,750,000 shares, representing 9.11% of issued share capital. The price payable must not be more than 5% above the average market value of an ordinary share for the five business days before the purchase is made and, in any event, not less than £0.1 share, being the nominal value of each ordinary share. The shares repurchased will be cancelled or held in treasury. Unless previously renewed, varied or revoked, the authority conferred shall expire on September 24, 2025 or, if earlier, at the conclusion of the company's next annual general meeting. As of May 14, 2024, the company has 337,602,150 shares issued.
On October 16, 2024, the company announced a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to £3 million worth of its shares, pursuant to an agreement with Stifel Nicolaus Europe Limited.
