Lyra Therapeutics: Regulatory Pathway For Non-Polyp Patients, An Underappreciated Catalyst

Summary Lyra Therapeutics has lost >90% of its value since announcing the failed ENLIGHTEN-1 trial, despite the recent announcement of a clearly positive ENLIGHTEN-2. Considering a clearly positive phase 3, strong supporting data, and a good explanation for the ENLIGHTEN-1 failure, I believe the market is underestimating the potential for NDA submission without the need of another phase 3. Lyra Therapeutics appoints Nieman as Chief Medical Officer

Lyra Therapeutics (NASDAQ:LYRA) has appointed Dr. Richard Nieman as Chief Medical Officer, effective July 11, 2022.  The industry leader with substantial U.S. and global experience in drug development and medical affairs joins Lyra as the company's late-stage product candidates advance in the clinic. Dr. Nieman assumes the role of Chief Medical Officer, previously held by Dr. Robert Kern, who will continue to work closely with the company in the role of Chief Clinical Advisor. The firm has approved the issuance of an equity-based award pursuant to its 2022 Inducement Award Plan to Dr. Nieman upon the commencement of his employment.  The inducement grant consists of a non-qualified stock option to purchase an aggregate of 230,000 shares of the company's common stock.

A First Look At Lyra Therapeutics

Today, we put Lyra Therapeutics in the spotlight for the first time. This small biopharma concern has disappointed investors since coming public in mid-2020. The drop in the shares has triggered some huge insider buying by insiders and beneficial owners of the stock via a capital raise in April.
