Insiders were net sellers of Playtika Holding Corp.'s (NASDAQ:PLTK ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders sold more stock than they bought.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

Playtika Holding Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Chief Human Resources Officer, Gili Brudno, for US$586k worth of shares, at about US$8.72 per share. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of US$7.97. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern. Gili Brudno was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

Does Playtika Holding Boast High Insider Ownership?

Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. It's great to see that Playtika Holding insiders own 27% of the company, worth about US$785m. I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
