Possible Bearish Signals With Flywire Insiders Disposing Stock

Published
NasdaqGS:FLYW

The fact that multiple Flywire Corporation (NASDAQ:FLYW) insiders offloaded a considerable amount of shares over the past year could have raised some eyebrows amongst investors. Knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more helpful when evaluating insider transactions, as insider selling can have various explanations. However, if numerous insiders are selling, shareholders should investigate more.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Flywire Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the CEO & Director, Michael Massaro, for US$2.3m worth of shares, at about US$25.11 per share. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$17.54). So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Insider Ownership Of Flywire

For a common shareholder, it is worth checking how many shares are held by company insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company.
