Affinity Bancshares: Margin Tailwinds, Valuation Headwinds

Summary Affinity Bancshares (AFBI) delivered strong FY'25 EPS growth, primarily from non-recurring cost reductions and improved NII. I maintain a neutral/hold rating on AFBI, citing overvaluation, versus peers, and subdued forward growth prospects. AFBI's loan portfolio remains resilient, with non-performing loans declining, despite high commercial real estate exposure. Forward EPS growth is modest, driven mainly by share count reduction, while deposit volatility and premium valuation warrant caution. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Affinity Bancshares: Worth Keeping An Eye On, But Not A Buy Right Now

Affinity Bancshares saw its share price increase by almost 60% since raising equity at $10/share. A great share price performance, but I'm expecting the normalized EPS to be just around $1/share in 2022. Affinity isn't expensive based on its P/TBV, but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay 15X earnings for a small local bank. It could be an interesting growth story, so I will keep an eye on Affinity.
