Sohar Power Company SAOG Announces Partial Outage at the Plant Sohar Power Company SAOG announced that on 25 May 2025, one of the gas turbines at the Plant suffered a forced outage. Following a trip, it led to loss of power that prevented a safe shut down of the unit, which resulted in extensive damages, especially to the bearings and some blades /vanes. In addition to the repair costs, the Company will also incur loss of revenues on account of this shutdown; the impact of which cannot be determined at this time.
