V-One Tech's (KOSDAQ:251630) Stock Price Has Reduced 60% In The Past Three Years
Investing in stocks inevitably means buying into some companies that perform poorly. But long term V-One Tech Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ:251630) shareholders have had a particularly rough ride in the last three year. Sadly for them, the share price is down 60% in that time. Contrary to the longer term story, the last month has been good for stockholders, with a share price gain of 8.3%. But this could be related to good market conditions, with stocks up around 11% during the period.

While markets are a powerful pricing mechanism, share prices reflect investor sentiment, not just underlying business performance. One imperfect but simple way to consider how the market perception of a company has shifted is to compare the change in the earnings per share (EPS) with the share price movement.
V-One Tech saw its EPS decline at a compound rate of 29% per year, over the last three years. This change in EPS is reasonably close to the 26% average annual decrease in the share price. So it seems that investor expectations of the company are staying pretty steady, despite the disappointment. Rather, the share price has approximately tracked EPS growth.

A Different Perspective
Over the last year V-One Tech shareholders have received a TSR of 3.8%. It's always nice to make money but this return falls short of the market return which was about 33% for the year. On the bright side, that's certainly better than the yearly loss of about 17% endured over the last three years, implying that the company is doing better recently. It could well be that the business is stabilizing. It's always interesting to track share price performance over the longer term. But to understand V-One Tech better, we need to consider many other factors. Even so, be aware that V-One Tech is showing 4 warning signs in our investment analysis , and 2 of those are concerning...
