FNS TECH (KOSDAQ:083500) Is Experiencing Growth In Returns On Capital
If we want to find a stock that could multiply over the long term, what are the underlying trends we should look for? One common approach is to try and find a company with returns on capital employed (ROCE) that are increasing, in conjunction with a growing amount of capital employed. Put simply, these types of businesses are compounding machines, meaning they are continually reinvesting their earnings at ever-higher rates of return. Speaking of which, we noticed some great changes in FNS TECH's (KOSDAQ:083500) returns on capital, so let's have a look.
Understanding Return On Capital Employed (ROCE)
For those that aren't sure what ROCE is, it measures the amount of pre-tax profits a company can generate from the capital employed in its business. To calculate this metric for FNS TECH, this is the formula:
Return on Capital Employed = Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) ÷ (Total Assets - Current Liabilities)
0.16 = ₩14b ÷ (₩117b - ₩28b) (Based on the trailing twelve months to June 2025).
Therefore, FNS TECH has an ROCE of 16%. In absolute terms, that's a satisfactory return, but compared to the Semiconductor industry average of 7.5% it's much better.

This can indicate that there's plenty of opportunities to invest capital internally and at ever higher rates, a combination that's common among multi-baggers.
