Does GA technologies (TSE:3491) Deserve A Spot On Your Watchlist?
It's common for many investors, especially those who are inexperienced, to buy shares in companies with a good story even if these companies are loss-making. But the reality is that when a company loses money each year, for long enough, its investors will usually take their share of those losses. While a well funded company may sustain losses for years, it will need to generate a profit eventually, or else investors will move on and the company will wither away.
In contrast to all that, many investors prefer to focus on companies like GA technologies (TSE:3491), which has not only revenues, but also profits. Now this is not to say that the company presents the best investment opportunity around, but profitability is a key component to success in business.

GA technologies' Improving Profits

Year on year growth of 81% is certainly a sight to behold. Shareholders will be hopeful that this is a sign of the company reaching an inflection point.

So we're pleased to report that GA technologies insiders own a meaningful share of the business. In fact, they own 49% of the shares, making insiders a very influential shareholder group. Those who are comforted by solid insider ownership like this should be happy, as it implies that those running the business are genuinely motivated to create shareholder value. To give you an idea, the value of insiders' holdings in the business are valued at JP¥28b at the current share price. That should be more than enough to keep them focussed on creating shareholder value!
