Even after rising 13% this past week, ACCENTRO Real Estate (ETR:A4Y) shareholders are still down 82% over the past five years

It is doubtless a positive to see that the ACCENTRO Real Estate AG (ETR:A4Y) share price has gained some 33% in the last three months. But spare a thought for the long term holders, who have held the stock as it bled value over the last five years. Like a ship taking on water, the share price has sunk 83% in that time. The recent bounce might mean the long decline is over, but we are not confident. The fundamental business performance will ultimately determine if the turnaround can be sustained. However, keep in mind that even the best stocks will sometimes underperform the market over a twelve month period.
